I decided to read my best friend a ninjador oneshot I've been working on (still half-finished, I haven't published it) while I hang out with her yesterday. She doesn't know much about Supa Strikas, only hears about me ramble about the episodes on call & at school (and how much I hate Jomo).

Halfway through, she asks if El Matador is so-and-so and we have a back and fourth on how the El Matador in my AU is hotter than him in the show (she absolutely hates how El Matador looks).

Then when I read Ninja's perspective in said oneshot, she says to me "wait, you ship this kidnapped dude with El Matador...?" (Sorry for the plot spoiler) That's when I search for a photo of him in my gallery to show her and tell her who he is:

She takes one good look at him and says dead to my face "is he trying to cover his receding hairline with that headband?"

Never have I laughed so hard in my life.

Then after a ten-minute talk on what "canon" meant and what headcanons were, I show her a photo of the two side-by-side and explain their rivalry, and then she asks me "who tops?"

Naturally, I said "Ninja."

"Oh, I knew El Matador was a bottom!"

...

This is just proof that we share brain cells.

Kudos to her, she was the one who made me realize I could headcanon El Matador to have poor vision cuz of those damn glasses. I need to set up a Tumblr for her ASAP

Also I'm out rn and I FOUND A FUCKING TORTOISE while walking around the forest nearby??? This is my first time seeing a tortoise here and like... Ever.

I will be naming him... Bruno ll. I don't know where he is now, but I hope he's safe.

El Matador: Shh! I'm not done talking! So I went inside. El Matador (Flashback): Oi, chica! It's your fav customer! Those old people had me working like a DOG! Welma (Flashback): El Matador! I'll be with you in a minute! El Matador: I just knew Welma loved me! But Ninja wasn't having it for some reason. Ninja (Flashback): Actually, in a second. I forgot I had to help out Miss Odelie. Ninja (Flashback): Have a good day, Welma. El Matador. Welma (Flashback): Oh um.. Okay. El Matador: It's as if I'm obsessing over Ninja being jealous over Welma or SOMETHING! Santos: In a way, it reminds me of a time when he talked to me.. It was about love but not about Welma. Santos: And neither was it about you, but for another woman. (LIE.) El Matador: So he loves another woman? Santos: Yeah, but it's better to not talk about it with him though.
