The city I grew up in decided to have the greyest summer I can remember right when I started a follow-up to my Kraków blog set among its already grey medieval streets. The skies might match the stones but nothing can suppress the cultural vibrancy of Europe’s westernmost city. Its old and new walls are bursting with the thing I like more than anything - stories.

Probably... nah, easily my favourite place on the planet is the city of Kraków. I had already visited Warsaw, but on my second visit to Poland I discovered what it meant to fall in love with a place and I’ve been back many times since. Any chance I get. It has such a terrific vibe to it. The history of Kraków truly is the history of Europe.
