Lmao, Ifeel u, my bisexual ass loves the touyuki. but I wrote this before Yuuri on Ice got wildly popular and you had that all-but-canon kiss, and overseas fans were STILL not satisfied that their relationship was canon? so maybe this won’t be enough.

Yukito doesn’t say ‘I love you’ to Touya or anything - that would have been too straightforwardly gay for a mainstream manga title in a major shoujo phonebook for elementary schoolers in Japan in the year 2000. But he does tell Sakura that he loves Touya, in the scene where she confesses that she likes Yuki. Yukito is like “o no smol bby” and tries to persuade her that she’s really feeling a familial affection for Yukito. 

And while Sakura goes along with it (b/c she doesn’t want Yukito to feel bad for her) she’s also like “you already have your ‘number one’”, which is CCS code for ‘favorite person/person you like’, and Yukito is like ‘yeah, I do’.

Sakura:is it my brother?Yukito: [surprised] … yeah. Sakura: [smiles] I thought so.

So that’s the scene I’m thinking of when I say ‘Yukito directly confesses his love for Touya’. He doesn’t say it to Touya, but it’s pretty evident it doesn’t need to be said on screen: they are canonically one another’s ‘most important person’.

And there’s also these other things that are pretty blatant ‘we’re never leaving each other’stuff:

There’s this ongoing gag/magical shit thing going on throughout the back half of the series where Touya keeps trying to tell Yukito that he knows Yukito isn’t human, but every time he gets close to saying it Nakuru interrupts and splits them up. Yukito kinda just … lets Touya go each time? but with increasing distress? And finally after he collapses in the middle of a soccer game, Touya carries him to the infirmary (!!!) and when the same thing happens with Touya trying to say The Thing and Nakuru popping up to pull Touya away, Yukito reaches out and grabs Touya’s shirt to stop him from going and is like ‘oh man I totally did that without thinking’? but it’s like Touya was waiting for Yukito to prove he cared to hear what Touya had to say, so he finally ignores Nakuru and just says it, and when Yue comes out in response he's like ‘so my false form has finally figured out what he wants’ which, like??? I don’t know how that can be interpreted as anything but ‘Yukito wants you, Touya, to stay with him’

Touya gives up his magic just so Yukito can continue to exist?? And Yukito feels extremely guilty about it until Touya is like ‘look, you love food, but if I was dying of hunger, would you let me starve?’ and Yukito is like omg no?? I’d split my meal with you? And Touya’s like, yeah, this is the same thing. stoppit. And ruffles Yukito’s hair and Yukito blushes and it’s all very gay

There’s a scene in both the manga and anime PURELY to let some random person in their class comment on how gay they are?? Everybody at their school is like ‘Kinomoto and Tsukishiro are super popular with the girls, they could date anybody, but neither of them ever do, they only hang out with each other’ uuuHHHHHH??????

They pick a local college to attend together and hang out all the time, forever.

How did you choose their name?

okay so the beta of affinity was very heavily based on greek mythology and csilla’s initial name was Mnemosyne. i wanted the two heroines names to match, so i took the last part of mnemosyne’s name - syne - and made it Sinie! csilla’s name changed but sinie’s did not because i just thought it was rly cute
