Project Runway - I'm Not Watching the Rest of Season 22
I sincerely had hoped that Project Runway would have learned from their missteps in season 21.
Theyl focus on manufactured drama and unlikeable personalities has taken away from why I loved the original show.
The designs, the construction process, and the artistic creativity of the designers.
Less than 5 minutes into season 22, I already knew that what used to be my favorite tv show, had turned into slop.
Now I've been raised to never bitch about a problem without proposing a solution so here's what would make this show more enjoyable.
Judges that focus on the clothes and construction criticism instead or trying shoot off a witty, or mean remark. The most unnecessary Judge, is Law Roach. He often antagonizes the contestants, adding tiresome drama. They need a fashion designer on the panel. Not a self important stylist or Tyra Banks.
Fashion designers that haven't already been on reality TV shows. Give me the unknown fashion school students, self taught YouTubers, mid life crisis seamstresses looking for their big break, not social media personalities bouncing from one reality TV show to the next.
A mentor that actually cares about the contestants, gives constructive criticism, without completing trodding on contestants and serving sass.
Letting designers showcase what they can do. They 1 day challenges, while fine occasionally, really hurt the final designs, and don't allow designers to showcase their potential.
Focus on the clothes! I don't really care to hear the designers shitting on each other's work. I want to see the garments up close and learn how they made them, how they came up with the design etc...Not how much the contestants hate each other.
If it goes back to being about the clothes and designs, I'll bite the bullet and resubscribe to Disney+
