       Marco had shown Len a great way to appreciate the complexities of the synthetic blood that his family had created. Cutting it with pigs blood had made it more appetising but...what if she cut the synthetic blood with human blood, dead human blood attained in a legal manner that was not taken by force, surely no one could deny her that was reasonable. Through the various channels of vampires in Opulence, as well as weird donors, Len had discovered someone who was capable of doing this - or so she had been told. 

       Valentina was someone who, since rising recently, had learnt that mortal hunters were allowed to simply kill vampires. It had made her nervous ever since and part of her worried that this was a sting operation, though not worried enough not to show up because human blood sounded so delicious. Instead just nervous enough that she moved with unease to the back entrance of the funeral home, knocking gently against the back door.

         She didn’t imagine she’d have to wait long, brushing her fingers over the long black dress she wore, stoic expression as always. The nerves she had showed though in the tightness of her shoulders, in the way her hair fell around her face. Some might not notice it but vampires tended to have seen enough mortal expressions over time even subtle things could be seen.
