Miurani'kal'istae's father, Audrini'kel'asatis is the quintessential Chiss: Cool, tactical, and ready to give all for the Greater Good. She's a great deal like him - after all, that's how she ended up as an Imperial Agent in the first place. They wanted her, and were willing to threaten innocent Chiss in order to have her. Working for the Empire was certainly the lesser of the two evils.

Her mother, however, is almost the antithesis of what everyone expects a Chiss to be. Though small for a Chiss - smaller than her daughter, who is only about 162 cm herself - Audrini'shai'satoris is a firebrand, all quick movement, quick thought, and quick emotion. She's an artist, specializing in metal art, including sculptures and body jewelry. She does not hesitate to speak her mind and will scold and praise in equal measure and with equal ferocity. She is very much a 'Mother' figure and few are those who do not view her in such a light.

Nikali very much loves her mother, but is very much afraid of her, too. Ishaisa is a very open, honest woman (ironic in the wife of one spy and mother of another) who believes that there is nothing to be ashamed of in life - and that includes sexuality. Her frank nature makes her daughter very nervous - but secretly, Nikali wishes she could be more like her mother.

Fortunately for her, Theron is just fine with her being herself.
