Answering this for Rayven Feathre, Fenne Canae, and Cobrea Serphae. THey are the main trio of Flights of Fancy now!

💛Yellow: How does your character show others that they care about them?   

Rayven shows she cares through protection. This comes in many ways, where she will protect someone from a view she doesn't want them to see, she'll hide injuries she gets from protecting them, she'll take any arrow or sword she can for those she cares about to live without that pain. It hurts her to go through, but she does it anyway. She'll also give gifts she thinks compliments someone, like shiny rocks or gems.

Fenne pretends to be happy and cheery around those she cares about, even if she's upset. She'll have moments where she needs to express her frustration in those cases, but those times are few and managed through scratching plants over talking about it.

Cobrea doesn't show his care directly. He'll rant to others about something he feels is wrong with another, but never will these rants happen in front of those he wants to share his care to. He doesn't want them to think he's weak if he talks about it. He's an insecure man at times.

💚Green: How is your character when it comes to working together?  Are they a team player or are they difficult to work with? 

Rayven struggles to work with others. She's spent six years locked in her home, only able to interact with her stepmom, her father, her sister, and the head butler for her family. She does better alone, though there are times where she works well with others. If the others are birds not people.

Fenne works well with others. She's fairly easy to get along with, she knows her strengths, and she is happy to cover someone else's weaknesses. She doesn't admit her own weaknesses, but she feels that others don't need to know how she struggles. She doesn't always enjoy working with someone, she'll get a little sassy in narration, but she doesn't complain directly to them about it. It's more of a "I don't want to do this but do it anyway" over "I don't want to and will not do this".

Cobrea is another more solitary person, but that's because he feels that others are better at many things than he is. He can step up at things he's good at--directions, especially if he knows the direction he needs to go in--but keep quiet about said things until he sees clear indication that the person is struggling. It isn't a matter of him not wanting to work with others, but a matter of he's not entirely confident in himself and his abilities.

💙Blue: How is your character when it comes to expressing and communicating their emotions? 

Rayven sucks at it. Again, six years without socializing with anyone outside of four people. The most positive interactions she got in those six years were from her step mom, little sister (half sister), and the butler. Any talk of her emotions and feelings were cut down by her father.

Fenne freely expresses when she's happy or content. She'll only express negative emotions when around people she doesn't care about. Fenne wants her friends to think she's better and happier than she is. Around her family, she's less hesitant to show the negative emotions, but they are still suppressed a bit.

I'm Nightmaricwriter, though I usually use Nightwriter to refer to myself. Others have called my Nightmare and Night, and I don't mind being called such. Sometimes I try to play into my Nightmare name, but that's rare. I'm twenty years old and I attend a university, where I'm working to get a Creative Writing Major. You can find me on AO3!

My previous intro post claimed that my writing journey began with original fiction, which... I think is a half truth. I began writing around third grade and it started original but eventually became Warrior Cat fanfiction. Don't ask how that happened. However, I didn't truly love writing until a sixth grade assignment in which I had to write a story on a single notebook paper... which turned into a thirty-three notebook paper long story complete with a brief intermission talking about the characters in the middle, I believe. I don't think I have that story anymore. I've been reading obsessively since third grade as well, and you can guess the book series that got me hooked.

I'm a writer. That's what I am and will always be. With that statement, I have to introduce my writing, don't I?

Writing

I write fantasy stories. I like the escape that fantasy can bring, and so that is what I write. However, to practice writing, I write fanfiction. I explore character ideas, magic system ideas, even backstory ideas, within fanfiction if I don't create a character specifically for fanfiction.

Stars of the Sky

My original story, which is my current focus! It is my spin of the idea of names holding power, fantasy, with a magic system my older brother claims is backwards, and a female protagonist who may or may not be a bit too strong at the moment. Hades leaves her Clan to learn more ways to fight as a way to better protect her Clan, which takes her all over Reaki either on missions or to thwart a reversal of an ancient event.

A Court of Death and Ruination

This is ACOTAR fanfiction in which I threw Hades, the protagonist of Stars of the Sky into ACOTAR. I explore her abilities, actually writing her, the magic system that is present in Stars of the Sky, and a few other things. Updates every Monday! The master list for this is here!

Random Writing Thing

This is me writing a story, but not in the way I normally do it. Each post I put in this is not a full part. It's just a scene that feels important to the story, but lacks connective tissue between other parts, unless I write the next scene immediately. The posts are, so far, written chronologically, but that may change.

This story is very much a dystopia. It is set vaguely in the midwest, the world has collapsed, there are these monsters that feed on human emotions, and warriors who use their lack of emotions to fight. Each post adds to the worldbuilding, lore, aspects, and such all while following Reave. This story is ever growing and ever expanding.

@bardic-tales has cool world building posts for their (I would use her, but it seems there's multiple people in that system and I don't want to offend) Fantasy Worlds Collide work, and they often reblog cool images and posts regarding self shipping and writing, I believe. There's a lot to be found with them and they are quite the cool mutual to have.

@shepardstales has fun ideas for what she might write, even if she gets writer's block, and her diamond painting progress is cool to see. Also fun to interact with!

@kingragnarok-writes has a series, The Heralds of Blood (which he posts chapters of weekly (on Sundays)), which I might not look at but it is cool to learn about the background of! He also reblogs writing related posts, cool images for inspiration, and positive posts!

@ominous-faechild is a chaotic gremlin, but also writes things! Most of my interaction with them was them being an art anon. They write a series? Story? called Faerie's Dawn! Heck if I know when they update.

@keeping-writing-frosty writes interesting things and is fun to interact with! I might not always read his stuff, but that doesn't mean he writes poorly so check him out.

@of-potions-and-blades-official has a blog dedicated to their wip, Of Potions and Blades. I haven't poked around at their wip itself, but they reblog things related to writing and I think that's cool!

Hobbies

I write as a hobby, sometimes, but writing is slowly becoming more of just what I do. I read for fun, listen to music for fun, sometimes watch a movie, and I watch anime for fun! A few of the anime I have watched are MHA, Demon Slayer, Haikyuu, Black Butler, Jujutsu Kaisen, a bit of Attack on Titan, Ouran High School Host Club, Nanbaka, and a few others. I also draw sometimes!

Fun Facts

-I am biromantic asexual. Screw the sexual parts of relationships, but I'll go for both genders :> Due to this, many of my characters are on the queer spectrum since I write what I want and no one can stop me. I might have a poor romantic history but that means nothing.

-I have a terrible sleep schedule. It gets absurd.

-I am slightly autistic. It's there enough to affect me--screw the sound electricity makes when it is trying and failing to turn something on--but not there enough for me to recognize how it affects me fully.

-There was a Gaza scam. Here are my thoughts from when it was around.

Rayven is the eldest of two, and she's quite the protector. She tries not to let Robyn see the darker parts of life. If that means she can't see Robyn because their dad enjoys shackling Rayven, then that's how it is. Rayven cares more about Robyn than she does herself at times. Though outsiders think Rayven is the Golden Child, she's most often punished quite harshly in secret (not because she's a rebel in the true sense.) Rayven will even push for someone to be present when Robyn is shifted if she can't be present herself.

Rayven probably has the best education of the main trio. Not because the other two lacked in that department--both are Animal Nobles--but Rayven had six years where all she could do was primarily train with her sword and read books. It isn't an official education by any means.

Cobrea and Fenne are more properly educated, though Fenne didn't pay attention to classes regarding forested environments considering she seems to think they are fairly simple.

However, in terms of actual, usable knowledge, Cobrea has the best working knowledge. How to travel the Feathre Forest, how to see through natural defenses within Animai and neighboring kingdoms, Mana detection and other magical specifics, things that Fenne was too overstimulated by the classes to learn.

If there was a formal education grading, Cobrea and Rayven would be tied at the top. Rayven for general knowledge, Cobrea for his more specific knowledge.

There isn't a proper system in place for education prior to going into training for more specific occupations. Royal Knights are taught magic, sword play, archery, stealth, survival skills (including traversing the Feathre Forest as that is the Region with the greatest Natural Defense.), and other fighting skills and styles.

What's your favorite thing about your character, what makes them Blorbo? Is it a personality thing, a design thing, something in their backstory or character arc? Please elaborate on the things you love!

I don't know why I like Rayven. She started as a character in a short story. A character who was supposed to be dead to me after the short story was finished--I literally killed her off in it. There are aspects of her that I'm obsessed with. Her eyes, her hair, her power. I don't know which draws me the most.

Honestly probably what draws me to her the most is that she's a literal flip of a trope. She has a mom, she has a father, and she has a step mom. Her mom's dead. The usual trope would have the step mom be evil. My flipping of that trope is the dad is evil and the step mom is the good parent, of the ones who live.
