Finn creates a special task force within the Resistance called the Nightwings. They began with the purpose of stopping the First Order from stealing children for their stormtrooper program, but their missions evolve to include everything from scouting for potential Starkillers to finding Systems that want to support the Resistance. Along with Jessa, their ship ace, Jak, their language master, and Bree, their tech guru, the Nightwings will fight to dismantle the First Order right from its very structure.

One of the little nightwings is rested on shis belly, fingers tapping a pattern on it's head as shi watched her. Watched how her fingers seemed to fly over the keys just as nimbly as any of the pilots flew their ships. Could not help the smile on shis lips as the small droid nudged underneath shis hand until Jak picked back up the soft taps. She didn't look like she'd slept properly in days and yet Jak couldn't turn his eyes away, or stop smiling. "Ta douooealor", said to droid - nightwingscomms

      Sheâsused to people staring at her. Sometimes itâs a new recruit that had never seenher at work before, in awe and maybe a little perturbed, because how she doeswhat she does just could not be natural. Sometimes itâs just her being aroundpeople in general, for she spends way too much time with non-organic creaturesand not enough with breathing ones that it shows in her interactions.
      Itâsnot so much the staring thatâsrattling her, but who is doing it. Sheâsmanaged to tune it out for the most part, burying herself in her work, but itâsbeen so long and now Jakâs got herdroid ( she liked to bring up the âtheyâreonly hers when theyâre in troubleâ incidentat inopportune moments like this )in on the action, too. She could hear them murmuring to each other, the droidbeeping something ( that sounded suspiciously like [ Why are you telling me and not her? ] ) in response to whatever the requisitions officer had said, nodoubt conspiring against her.
      â I know youâretalking about me, â Bree sayswithout turning away from what she was doing. â What is it? Do I stink? Is that whyyou guys are all the way over there? â She wasrarely one to be self-conscious about her appearance as it seemed unimportant inthe grand scheme of things ( and she had better uses of her time ) but Jak hadher slowly reconsidering her stand on it.

      Therewas barely pause as Breeâs mind translated what âdraadtâ was in Basic from thelanguage of the Aanoviâit was one of the first words she had learned from Jak,and the most used by her, seeing she worked with them heavily; droids. She laughed, embarrassed, as shescratched her forehead nervously. The General was going to have her head if herdroids tampered with somethingâŚagain. She had to find them quick before the Resistance leader caught wind.
      âI did give them an upgrade the otherdayâŚbut I blame any behaviouralchanges on them spending a little too much time around Beebee and Artoo. â
         Which wasnât a total cop-out. Those two were a menace sometimes. Droppingher hand, she looked up at Jak, eyes apologetic.
