“Bright Night” Yes, I appreciate the beauty of beaches and vibrant landscapes, but I think the citified soul in me gets the same feeling for the urban jungles, especially their nocturnal forms. I am always fascinated by the light trails of speeding vehicles, the late night shops, the muffled shots in a distance, the aromatic coffee shops, the imposing buildings...almost everything my optical organs catch. The cul-de-sacs, the narrow alleys....the drug stores...They get me probing in one corner and wandering in the other...What kind of danger lies beneath... There is something about a city at night that always makes me appreciate its quaintness and convolutions. Every time I get to see the kind of beauty in the photo, I get inundated with emotions. I feel happy. I feel overwhelmed. The feel of life here is as intense as there in the wilderness. These things, when they hit me on a night like this, reinforce my great admiration for the simplest, littlest of things in life. At this moment, this three-story building and the busy road in front of me make me say thank you in spite of the challenging times the universe is into.
