I used to believe that you can preserve every moment with each photograph.

Every emotion, event, everything; all of those can be forever frozen in time.

They tell you of a tale from a time, of unspoken words best left unsaid but rather felt, every single second of it, every memory preserved.

  From a hobby, it became a passion, and before I knew it, I'm busy traveling around taking picstures of people, places and events.

I can't say it's cheap nor fun, but rather it was, somewhat fulfilling.

It kept me busy from my everyday mundane life. A boring, tiring, mundane life.

A friend asked me before, of what would be the best thing to capture in film.

I said, "ghosts" out of boredom.

That was when his face went pale and told me not to speak lightly of the dead.

  I dismissed that as a joke, but he sure wasn't happy.

I should have believed him...

  I wasn't long ago that I was exploring some abandoned towns.

Sure, it was for the kicks and photos and all.

But---

There was a feeling that I wasn't welcome anywhere in that place.

It wanted me out, or possibly worse.

Took some quick shots and hurried myself away as possible.

  Sure felt surreal...

  Because after I processed my photos, I remembered what he said to me clearly:

"The dead does not rest."

You woke up in the middle of the night with an unsettling feeling. A feeling of anxiety engulfs you within night's cold embrace. A feeling that something's there in the dark. You dismissed that feeling, like the grown-up you are. But before you could even go back to sleep, you heard a loud thud somewhere within the vicinity. You hurriedly went to check if a burglar's broken in. The locks are secured in place, but you noticed the window's open. Someone, or -something- opened it... but there are bars right outside your window. Cold sweat started to trickle down your forehead. You try to be calm but there's something bothering you inside. That's when you feel something brushed against your legs... ...but you live alone, and you don't have any pets. You started to panic, tried to hurry towards your room. In the middle of darkness, you felt it again. You feel another's presence. A cold stare behind you. As curiosity got the best of you, you turned back to look. And that's when she said, "I'm hungry."
