The clang of steel against the Heartless’ weapon made him wince, but he ignored the ring in his ears as he pushed it back, swinging his weapon through it to slice it in two.

He looked over his shoulder at him, the sight of him making his stomach twist with fear. What could’ve done this? Sora may be just a kid, but he was strong. The keyblade had chosen him for a reason, after all. Whatever had taken him out this badly, it chilled Leon to think about. Had to get him out here, get him somewhere he could heal him. Figure out just what they were inevitably up against.

Didn’t have time to finish that thought, however, a familiar skittering across the ground drawing his attention. Gritted his teeth as he glanced around, more Heartless spawning around them. Damn it, they didn’t have time for this!

“One of them, is for me?” Sora said as he slightly tilted his head. He didn’t quite understand.

“Well, that’s the reason I bought two in the first place y’know?” Runa stated, her tone slightly confused. W-Wouldn’t that be implied? Considering it was just the two of them? 

The moment he saw the other Sora’s Heart, he knew he wasn’t his Sora.

It wasn’t the first time this had happened, which helped a bit. Riku, at the very least, felt more in control of the situation and had a better understanding of what was happening. There were multiple worlds, and multiple copies of each world. Each world belonged to its own set and slipping between sets, between ‘dimensions’, wasn’t an easy feat- but it could be done. 

He must have done it. Accidentally, most likely, but Sora - this Sora, was in trouble, and... his Sora or not, he was still in trouble, and Riku still felt compelled to help him.

The blindfold around his eyes should have been enough to make it clear that he couldn’t see, but it was a sign that still might have been easy enough to miss. No matter. Riku didn’t bother to try to go into any explanation about how he couldn’t see Sora, nor could he actually see where they were either- but he could see enough to move. Light and Darkness both were emanated by anything with a Heart, and the Worlds themselves had Hearts inside of them. It meant that the very ground had a slight glowing pulse to it that could be use as an outline in his limited vision to show him where to move. 

“Those things don’t sound like any Heartless I’ve ever heard.” Riku reach out to grasp the other’s wrist, holding tightly as he started to move. “What happened before this? Did you see them? Do you know what they are? Or where they came from?”

Something had been off about Sora since they set out. At first it wasn’t so obvious, the Keyblade wielder was just a little slower than usual, yet as they went on, he kept getting slower, he stopped talking and cracking jokes, and his feet had fumbled under him at least three times. After the first fumble, Lea decided to hang back with Sora, just to keep an eye on him-- probably a good thing, because the brunet was getting worse. Sora was now walking so slowly that the others were completely out of sight, and--

And he’s falling. Slender arms reaches out and clasp onto Sora’s shoulders, stopping him before his knees completely give out on him. “Woah, there.” Immediately the flurry frowns, he can feel the fever radiating off Sora through his gloves. The redhead bites down on the inside of his cheek, his eyes darting back and forth in search of a place he can set Sora down. “...C’mon, let’s take five. We’re not in a rush, right?” 

Even at hearing those words, Sora couldn’t help but worry about the small raven. They really didn’t even know one another. Sora couldn’t help it however as he wanted to be friends with him. By the look of things, Sora wasn’t much older then the raven. “Just take it easy okay? Would ice cream help? I’ve got enough for us to get some.”

Another small cough leaves him, the right thing would for Noctis to go sleep this off. But the mention of ice cream completely gains his attention. Eyes widening, and wondering if he’d get in trouble for having an icy treat before lunch. Oh well. No one has to know. “I’m fine,” he insists again with the pout intensifying for a moment, before a more hopeful look presented itself. “Ice cream? Can I get chocolate?”
