Wouldn’t be a medeival Japanese shonen story without the big bad having a group of mentally unstable, powerful swordsman henchman. The Kanto Hisashiban seem like a lively group, Tokiyuki and the others will have their hands full here. Still laughing at the fact Takauji was doing administrative HR work in the midst of a rebellion/battle lmao.

It’s so cool we got elusive samurai and world is dancing airing in the same season because together they give us a holistic view of the Muromachi period. World is dancing shows common folk trying to find outlets to cope with the turbulent and violent times while Elusive Samurai focuses on the political side of the era.
Tokiyuki and Oniyasha also have somewhat similar archetypes as they’re both the successors of well respected and powerful men and have to find their own ways to handle that responsibility
As for elusive samurai specifically, with Takauji planning to use social unrest to overthrow the government and the Shinano governor slowly catching on to Tokiyuki, they’re wasting absolutely no time throwing us into the deep end of the story and I’m really excited to see how this season goes because I’ve been craving more of this story for 2 years!
