So, I was bored and looking through the offerings with vampires in it on Netflix and stumbled upon a series called V Wars and in like the first five minutes there are already two actors who've played vampires before...

The entire show begins with Nick killing LaCroix (so we think) and we go an entire season with LaCroix “dead” and Nick seems rather proud of himself for it. Triumphing over evil and all that. Season two rolls around, LaCroix has returned alive (erm, undead) and well. In this episode, “Curiouser and Curiouser” Nick has a crisis and loses his grip on reality, and who does he need the most to bring him back? LaCroix. He’s scared, confused, agonizing over guilt and the constant presence guiding him through this process is LaCroix, albeit with a lot of tough love and I told you so’s. He thinks LaCroix is dead and suddenly Nick doesn’t seem so happy with the idea. As we all know, he needs LaCroix more than he ever likes to admit.

More Forever Knight re-watch
Isn't it odd how we all infantilized Nick in the original fandom? We all treated him like a hot little twink, to the point that it actually made him look younger when I watched the show back then. Now that I'm watching again I can see that Geraint Wyn Davies was in his mid-thirties (confirmed by Wiki as 35 in the first season and 38 in the last season...the problem with immortal characters), and hilariously, Nigel Bennett, who played LaCroix, his father figure, was only eight years older.
As hilarious as this all is, I think that this pseudo-incestuous fanon was in part able to to thrive because we didn't have Wikipedia in the nineties, informing us of the fantasy-destroying little details.
