Unstoppable giggles escaped the younger girl as she stared at her elder, who had himself in quite a situation. It started off normal- but somehow ended with Heechul at the bottom of a flight of stairs, sitting on his bum, covered in glitter. Wendy covered her mouth, but playful tones of laughter still lingered within her voice. “Pff– Oppa, are you okay, though? Let me help you.”

“i don’t want anyone to recognize you. it would ruin my plan and blow our cover. just-- don’t act suspicious.” hard to do that while wearing such a ridiculous wig.

“Coffee?” He scoffs, incredulity thick on his sharp tongue. “Don’t you dare call this coffee." He defends the legal drug like his life depended on it ( and it did-- from his mood to his stride, all fueled by caffeine ). “That’s an insult to coffee. Really, how hard is it to order an Americano?” He’s sighing, spilling the coffee into the drain, but keeping the cup ( because it’s pretty ). “I want my money back--give me my money back. You should be lucky I’m not bringing you up on attempted murder charges. My stomach feels like a nuclear plant and I’ve got schedules later.” He groans, appendix coiled around his aching, severely sabotaged stomach.  "Is this your way of getting back at me for having more followers on Instagram  than you? ”  

Be it due to the longevity of their friendship or the fact that Heechul made his low mood quite obvious, something prompts Hyolyn to make a u-turn and then a beeline towards the older idol. The slump of his shoulders and the distant look in his eyes place a small frown on her face, coupled with curiosity. Thinking back on it, she couldn’t recall the last time she’d seen him look as he did in that very moment and for a moment, that alone made her hesitate but only for a moment. Sure, Hyolyn was generally reliable and, more often that not, proved to be quite a good listener if the situation called for it but she couldn’t help but wonder if company was what Heechul wanted. She casts a quick glance towards the two iced coffee cans in her hands and, as if encouraged by them, she closes the distance and sits on the available space next to him, holding out one of the cans. “You’ve got only five seconds to grab it or it’s gone. I’ll down both before you even know it and you’ll be left in this sweltering heat without relief,” she tells him and lightly nudges her elbow against his own. “Why the long face, oppa?” she questions, her tone higher in its pitch on purpose. “It’ll get stuck like that if you keep it up, you know.”
