Speaking of stupid things relatives have done and almost died, the story goes that my great uncle (who is sadly no longer with us but did manage to die of old age despite all odds) and his climbing mates once decided to somehow abseil down a very sharp incline while riding their mountain bikes and long story short his bike was fine but he Was Not and I don't remember what bones he broke but when he phoned his wife from A&E to tell her what he'd done she hung up on him and wouldn't pick up again for like fifteen minutes because she was so mad at him

the video of Brandon Acker shredding on guitar is so Nicky though, like the gentle introduction where he's softly like "look at the skull and crossbone inlays on the neck I love them :) I'm gonna try to shred for you" and then absolutely kills it
It is tho!! Here’s the video, he did it for his 250k subscribers. The “that was fun” at the end killed me when I first watched it.
I’ve been following him for a couple years now and realistically I knew he started by playing an electric in a metal band before moving to the classic and then specialized in historical plucked strings/historically accurate playing and research (I forgot how he calls it, there’s a name for what he’s doing) but actually hearing it was an experience let me tell you. And for someone who hasn’t touched an electric in years he was really good! There are overlap but you don’t play a classic and an electric the same way.
And I meant it when I said he has Nicky vibe, when I first saw the musician!Nicky headcanon I immediatly jumped to his channel for inspirations. The quiet and calm way of talking, the kindness and good words, the talent hiden underneath it all and the mastery of what he’s doing. Nicky vibes through and through.
