<3<3<3 I just need to put this out there somewhere so people know what to expect: this was a surgical project. I could not be prouder of this book, AND the iceberg looks almost exactly the same above the water line. No one got left behind. No word or line or scene or chapter met the blade unless it needed to. There are more new things to love than there are things to mourn. My goal was to raise this book into its best expression while opening up a world that invites—hopefully—other new, connected stories. That out of the way, thank you Anon, and everyone who says such kind things to me. <3 In my heart this is just a book that took a long, unexpected route to finish becoming itself. I hope some of you love it as much as I do. If not, there will be one more after. With some luck, another after that. And so we begin. <3

thank you! i wish i could say it was born out of a grand desire for representation but i think we're just a lot of fun to draw! larger bodies make large interesting shapes and it's really engaging to figure out how to distribute those shapes, how they get pulled by gravity, etc.
