The relationship that Taylor shared with Niall could only be described by being simple but complicated at the same time. Simple because they were friends who had met through Harry, Taylor’s fake ex. Complicated because Taylor was harbouring an inappropriate crush on Niall. This meant she had memorised things like his smile, how he took his tea and lastly his birthday which happened to be today. Honestly Taylor had been debating on how to act on this day, she wanted to do something nice, but nothing that would scream ‘Please date me’. Luckily the daily budget had stopped her from buying or doing something crazy. Instead she had settled on baking a cake. Something simple but thoughtful. She had spent the day before researching recipes, trying to find something special when it hit her - a Guinness chocolate cake. Now she wasn’t sure how it was going to taste but before she knew it she was six hours in to wondering around in LA for some Guinness. Anything for a friend.
After waking up early to prepare it and throwing on a little bit of signature sparkle onto the cake, she picked up the cake with one hand and headed over to Niall’s room. Sliding into the room, lit candles on top, Taylor approached his bed before starting to sing Happy Birthday softly, hoping him to wake him up.
