together, (mostly bdubs yelling), the team was able to put together an itinerary for the next 24 hours to get the outpost, defenses and staff up and running. The meeting only took three hours!

“The thing is back,” Beef was quiet when he said it. No one was outside. There were no more seafloor walks– not when there was a sonar target the size of a city bus lurking in and out of their feed. Etho had insisted he was fine, that he could do his job. But even Beef and Doc had noticed something off, although Bdubs was pretty sure they weren’t paralyzed from it like he was. Bdubs couldn’t help but crowd forward now, unbuckling his belt. There was a different smell in the Nocturne than before– like hot ozone, like sweat. Like the inside of something's mouth. Bdubs thought it might be fear.
