"I still canât get âcoming round the mountainâ out of my mind. Itâs like one of those phrases, like âdrop it like itâs hotâ that I really wish Iâd never heard." // âI mean, itâs all any of us wants - to find a nice person to hang out with âtil we drop dead. Not a lot to ask.â // "You just flat out looked in my face right right out just lied to me."
"I still canât get âcoming round the mountainâ out of my mind. Itâs like one of those phrases, like âdrop it like itâs hotâ that I really wish Iâd never heard."
"I'm going to push you off this tower if you keep talking, Cola." Eyes half open and Nikolai half awake, he yawns quietly, arms stretching out. He moves himself so he's lying down, using the girl's lap as a cushion as he considers deeply in falling asleep despite it being one in the afternoon on  a Saturday afternoon when most of the other students were out trekking to Hogsmeade. "Do you come with an off button?"
âI mean, itâs all any of us wants - to find a nice person to hang out with âtil we drop dead. Not a lot to ask."Â
"It's a lot to ask. Not everyone out there is nice." Shrugging, he slips on his overcoat and trudging towards the exit into the courtyard. "Like me. I'm not a particularly nice person. You're just annoying and overbearing so I had to give in. I thought my brain would explode if I had another day of you trying to give me this friendship bracelet, which is only a bracelet to me." He says grumpily, holding up his wrist to show of the threaded jewellry.
"You just flat out looked in my face right right out just lied to me."
"I had to, okay?" Nikolai roared, face so close to hers. "Do you understand that if I didn't lie to you, you probably would've gotten hurt?" He runs a hand through his hair, frustrated that the other won't understand.

Nikolai doesn't like that the whole town has to be gathered here. What's the big occasion any way? He doesn't know, all he is told is that he has to be wearing vaguely formal and everyone will be gathered in the grand hall, placed in the center of the all buildings. Nikolai responds to the Wear Smart Attire invitation with not ripped black jeans that clung to his legs, a loose, tattered and aged flannel paired with a scruffy leather jacket. His eyes scanned the fairy tale like vicinities, those around him juding his scruffy appearances. He shrugged, ambling towards the appetizers, eyes scanning for something appealing among the tiny versions of food. "Small and tiny. How useful." With nothing amusing him, he looks around, noticing the balloons and banners that hadn't caught his eye beforehand. 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MISS NICOLA FRAY' they read. Luckily for him, there were photos covering the walls with her face because he didn't know who the heck this was.
Glancing towards the main doors, he notices the two bouncers preventing anyone from entering and leaving. "They were serious about having to be here the full time." Sighing he finds an opening in one of the glass doors, slipping out into the brisk evening, still finding scattered couples enjoying the gardens. He shuts his eyes trying to enjoy the almost silence until a voice interrupts his blank thoughts.
It's a profound question his wife asks that catches him briefly off guard as he cleans up the mess left after the pair's troublesome child. "Maybe we didn't raise him/her the way we should have. Maybe we went wrong somewhere." He hears her mutter, he lifts his head from the scattered glass on the floor to stare up at the woman in front of him. He swiftly sweeps the remaining debris to the side before abandoning the broom and pan to tend to his significant other.
He shakes his head, chuckling lowly before snaking his arms around Nicolaâs waist, pulling her into him clumsily, before kissing her tenderly on the cheek. âI donât think so. Because I know for a fact, Iâve been doing a flawless job as father. Iâm not entirely sure about you though.â He sways her left and right, holding her tightly. âIâm kidding, gorgeous, youâre a wonderful mother. Sheâs just going through weird phase. She still loves you.â He presses his lips against her shoulder, trailing upwards to hit the crook behind her ear. âJust as much as I love you, okay?"
My mum/dad died." // "Drink up. Whiskeyâs Godâs way of letting us know he loves us and he wants us to be happy." // "Maybe we didn't raise him/her the way we should have. Maybe we went wrong somewhere." // "No, don't just say you're fine. Where's the doctor? Let me go speak to the doctor." // "Shush, it's fine. They won't hear us." // "I like your ass." // "What the hell have you been smoking?" // "Do we need anything else, d'you think? Do we still have milk at home?"
"my mum/dad died"
Thereâs a moment of silence that fell between the two, the air among them dense with resent and caution. Nikolaiâs eyes fall to the thin figure of the other, a frown on his lips and a look of sympathy in his eyes. He starts with a shaky âI- Iâm sorryâ whilst patting her back gently. âLook, Iâll be here for you. You know that right? You donât have to go through this alone. Because, now I guess itâs you and me versus the world.â
"drink up. whiskey´s god´s way of letting us know he loves us and he wants us to be happy"
"It´s a shame he doesnât exist then." Itâs a sour grumble and itâs the least depressing thing he can say in a moment like this. "Bottoms up, though." He tilts his head back, taking the whole cup of liquid in a gulp. He takes a sharp breath in as response to the sizzling burn in the back of his head.
"Maybe we didn't raise him/her the way we should have. Maybe we went wrong somewhere."

"No, don't just say you're fine. Where's the doctor? Let me go speak to the doctor."
"But I am! Do you want me to lie to you or something and say Iâm dying?" His voice is raised as fights against her equally loud voice. "They said I could leave tomorrow, it was just a small accident."
"Shush, it's fine. They won't hear us." + hsm reference bc yaY
"Youâre a dork and I canât believe Iâm letting you drag me into this." He lets the girl pull him across the deserted corridors, cautiously so the two arenât caught by a patrolling teacher. "Cola, we donât have to stalk around like criminals, no oneâs going to tell me off.â He chuckles, but still letting her have her way because she claims itâs exiting and thrilling. As she leads him down and outside to the wide field where the lake is based, Nikolai can see the blanket laid delicately on a perfect spot a couple of meters away from the water. âI canât believe you dragged me away from my bed for this.âÂ
"I like your ass."
"I know" Nikolai groans, swatting her hands away from his rear, pulling her arm up and moving her to walk in front of him. "Touch my ass again and Iâll bind your hands together, or better yet, chop them off."
"What the hell have you been smoking?"
"Weed."
"Do we need anything else, d'you think? Do we still have milk at home?"
The two waddle around the muggle convenient store, not moving very fast because Nikolai insists to be clinging onto her, arms securing her against him, hands roaming across her. âI donât know, youâre the one who uses the milk the most.â He murmurs into her ear, and as he does he can feel her shiver underneath his touch, eyes glazing across for something essential as Nicola stops to contemplate whatâs next on the shopping list. He wears a triumphant smirk as eyes fall on a row of boxes beside them, reaching over to  pick up the small item, making sure to get the extra large size and extra large pack. âI can think of something really, really important for when we get home.â He says as he drops it into the basket that the other hold in her hands.
