AU Fun Facts 💖

• Newt grew up at Jamanakai Village with Salamander (his older brother). No one at the village know they're from the Island of Dragons.

• Salamander had to provide for them so he's usually working but he tried to make up some time for his little brother.

• Newt doesn't hide his Flame-Sight as much as OG Newt since he didn't grew up with the pressure of the Elders.

• In this AU, he's more mischievous because he grew up with the village kids. He doesn't feel as isolated as in OG.

• Newt and Lloyd were both 9 when they first met.

• Newt got hit with Tomorrow's Tea along with Lloyd.

For a moment, there was only the sound of the ninjas’ shaky breaths and the crackle of torches.

Then, the red-haired boy turned around.

He leaned down casually against the bars of the cage, his forest green eyes sweeping over the captured ninja with open curiosity.

They lingered for a moment on Jay’s nervous fidgeting, on Zane’s placid calm before finally settling on Lloyd, who was still trying to steady his breathing.

His gaze was fixed on Lloyd but it felt like he was looking through him, at something else entirely.

Unnoticed by the others, the green of his eyes began to shimmer, melting into a luminous, molten gold.

He saw them all as flickering candles in the dark, a firm orange light, a nervous blue spark, a steady white flame, a bright red blaze.

But the one in front of him, the one with the strange green outfit, his was not a candle. It was a bonfire. It was the sun. It was the brightest flame Newt had ever seen.

A small, mischievous smile touched Newt’s lips.
