                 [ There was a storm brewing and Derek could feel the restlessness of it in his bones as he gazed up at the sky. Most were already taking cover and heading indoors, noticing the drifting and darkening of the clouds and sky but Derek wasn't. He was standing there, eyes closing as the first droplets hit his face and slid down his neck and the rest of his body. The rain continued to fall, soaking him to the bone and as Derek began to shiver, he smiled because that was a feeling. That was something other than numb and maybe just maybe the rain could start to wash away the things he couldn't seem to let go of. ]
