Plastic free fruit & veg- I really am super spoilt where I live that there are so many great shops for plastic free shopping. 🍅🍆🌶 My favourite is probably my local greengrocer @newington_green_fruit_and_veg 🥕🌽🥑A fruit & veg lovers paradise with almost every type of ingredient you could imagine (seasons allowing!) There is plenty of choice of organic as well as non-organic. A few things come in plastic but very little & it's very easy to come away with your reusable bags brimming with completely fresh plastic free produce. It's open until 10pm so brilliant for popping out to get last minute supplies! Plus it's a local business & by supporting them you are supporting the vibrancy & diversity of the local area. (Or similar greengrocer in your area) I realise I'm spoilt where I live and that lots of people have no choice but to shop in supermarkets where avoiding plastic is extremely difficult. (I get stressed every time I have to go in one 🙈). Keep supporting businesses who make an effort to provide delicious plastic free food wherever possible & keep making noise about it & hopefully one day some of the others will catch up! Everyone can make a difference 💪 I remember watching an interview with a big supermarket boss who said the reason they switched from loose produce to produce in plastic is that consumers seemed to prefer it- e.g. they sold more oranges in a net bag to loose oranges & before you know it no more loose 🍊🍋🍐🍎🍏🍌🍈🍑 Let's change that trend back! #looseproduce #plasticfreeproduce #newingtongreen (at Newington Green Fruit & Vegetables)
