Happy Mother’s Day Mama!
I picked up my phone this morning, as my coffee was heating. I had alreay folded a load of laundry as beautifully as I could possibly fold it, for the man of my empty nest, and of course myself. He was dutifully cleaning the slime from the filters in the bottom of the dishwasher. Â
I didn’t expect anything from my girlies this Mother’s Day. One lives 90 miles away and the other is on vacation with her little son, and had given her gift early. I was looking forward to a day of catch up work, and some outdoor projects that I adore.
But then - I noticed a message notification. Â
As soon as I opened it tears began to flow.... My younger daughter, in Chicago had no doubt just finished it. The photo even has the shadow of her phone that she was holding to take the pic.Â
I didn’t tell her it made me cry. She probably wouldn’t understand. Next month I will turn 56. Today was the first day that anyone has ever said this to me.
Not Happy Mother’s Day.  “Follow YOUR Dreams” Like MANY MANY Moms - I have spent my life supporting others in their quest to follow their dreams. Â
Is it even okay for ME to have dreams?Â
I guess it is..... Thank you, my baby - what a wonderful gift that awareness is.
