Just received my new camera! The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II. I purchased this camera on sale for $899! When it came out a few years ago it was $1699! I currently own 5 cameras and now 6 with the addition of this one. But I'm only using 3 of them. I have a Canon 5d MkIII that I use for work, (portraits, weddings and events), a Canon 7D that I use for birds and other wildlife and an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II that I use for travel and recreation. I purchased this camera to use for travel, vlogging, videos, some portrait work and birding! Nothing makes me happier than a camera in my hands. 

Today, I finally bit the bullet and upgraded phones for the purpose of having the better camera. I am not one that embraces technology or change all that well, so this is a big step for me. As photos are so important to the work we do, I thought it was important though. Tonight’s post is the first official photo attempt. Our test subject is a large piece of rough Sugilite with Bustamite and Richterite from South Africa.
