Annabel lee - femme lesbian (she/her) pretty basic, she would be the stereotypical man hating lesbian except for prospero

Lenore/Leo - butch nonbinary lesbian , ace spectrum (he/she/they) the ace spectrum bit is me projecting but Lenore is 100% nonbinary you can’t change my mind, also preference for pronouns tends to be he and they but is fine with she

Pluto - pan trans man, poly(he/him) I like trans man Pluto but I hate how he gets babied by the fandom sometimes, that’s a grown ass man mate :/

Duke - bi, gnc man, poly (he/any) the zestiest bi man ever, I think he wouldn’t care about pronouns and would comfortably wear a skirt if given the opportunity

Morella- bi or aroace, (she/her or she/they) I don’t think about her that much, I think in modern times she would use she/they but in the story probably not

Berenice - poly, bi with male preference (she/her) again haven’t thought much of her, I’m gonna be so honest she kind of feels straight however I do see her and Eulalie together somewhat so bi with a heavy male preference

Eulalie - trans/demi girl, pan (she/they) I like Eulalie :)

Ada - cupioromantic, bi with male preference (she/her) I would also say ace but idk, she gives me strong cupioromantic vibes and I love her for that I wish she was and that her and prospero could bind over being on the aromantic spectrum

prospero - aroace, gay (he/him) I’m pretty sure this is canon but I love it anyways, he’s demisexual

Monty - homophobic bi man (he/him non of that sissy shit) I could also see him as transfem maybe but he would never ever find out and would stay an unhappy man the entire time

Will - gay (he/him) canon, I think he would have enjoyed doing drag if he wasn’t in the closet

Eulalie – a writer. I’m sure she’d live in some creepy old house (like the one she bought in life, lol) and write gothic novels or horror. And she’d be a very sought-after author in that genre.

Duke – an actor. That’s halfway canon anyway. I imagine he’d work in both film and theater, and he’d do most of his own stunts on stage, which would earn him the nickname “Fortunato.”

Berenice – a singer. I picture her performing jazzy songs that would be total hits, and her concerts would always be lavish and well-planned.

Morella – a chef. I’m certain she’s a natural cook and loves it. She’s definitely the type who gets genuinely happy when others enjoy her food. She might even run a cozy little family restaurant.

Prospero – a doctor. That’s canon, and I can’t see him as anything else. I think he’d be a surgeon and the head of a clinic.

Montresor – the owner of a rodeo arena. It’s weird, I know, but looking at that walking cowboy, I just can’t shake the thought.

Ada – she’d work as a consultant in a fancy boutique. The kind who gives you a judgmental look while you browse, like she thinks you can’t afford anything.

Will – a librarian. No seriously, Will looks like he knows so much but is too quiet and unsure to show it. The shy librarian role would suit him perfectly.

Lenore – she’d work in emergency management, like at FEMA. I mean, come on, this girl has a savior complex and a heroic streak. I imagine in modern times she’d run away from her abusive parents and devote her life to helping others.

Annabel – I think she’d just continue the family business. Probably be the CEO of a company. Annabel totally gives off “boss girl” vibes.

Pluto is transmasc and has been wearing his binder for the last 12 hours

He got really stressed while cutting his hair short and stopped halfway. It came in handy when he lost an eye

Duke would have a phone case where the blue glitter can move around when you shake it

He’d also have a chain phone holder on it

Morella would want to be a teacher (modern au) and would still be very much catholic

Eulalie cut her bangs right before the Wild Hunt attacked. She’ll regret it, come the morning

Lenore and Theo used to play chess, making the game mean even more to her

Lucille sees a lot of herself in Lenore. She despises it, and therefore despises Lenore

Annabel Lee’s mother went missing when Annabel Lee was 10, and is assumed dead during present day

The lack of closure made Ira paranoid and became a source of stress for Annabel Lee

Ada always had it drilled into her mind that in order to have value, she had to marry an important man. This later evolved her obsession with being a lady and *cough* Prospero

Alright, so observe here: Merry pouring black tea. This will be relevant in a second.

He offers Mourn the same black tea. Mourn takes the teacup.

Merry takes a sip. (wait don't go I'M GETTING THERE)

THERE! He sticks his tongue out. Upon my first read, I thought this was a reaction to Mourn's statement. It wasn't.

Because he then immediately throws some sugar cubes in.

Then, after mixing it, adds some more.

Whereas Mourn drinks his black, and has no problem with it.

I absolutely love all of the little details that make their characters unique, so this was really cool to me. (Can you tell the Deans are my favourite characters lol)

Nevermore headcanons because I’m bored !!

Morella likes chicken filet with cornflakes on it, don't ask me

Annabel has an arcade addiction

Eulalie owns those special dead animals that you can see their bones in a different color in jars, whatever they're called

Montresor quit with kibbles and is now eating premium wet cat food before letting beagle dog eat it

Merry and Annabel are close friends due to having particular tastes in sweets

William gets grossed out seeing hetero kisses but gets shy seeing homosexual men do arm wrestle, "Wow.. Sports" moment

Mourn went to China by accident

Lenore was caught talking to a raven by Duke, who later confesses he can understand pigeons and he would hear the craziest tea from them

Dolly makes cocaine

Berenice lied about being a sommelier for free alcohol tasting, somehow she actually knows the dates of when its made, ingredients and other stuff

Ada gets kicked out from Sephora for never buying the products because she uses the testers and leaves for every single time she went

Poppet once saw a kid fall down in a pool and laughed to herself

Morella would love cozy games like Animal Crossing, Stardew, Fields of Mistria, Minecraft, etc

Morella and Ada would go on aquarium dates

Ada has adhd and Morella has audhd, so if they’re out shopping and Ada comes across pretty clothing or Morella sees plushies, there’s no stopping them from making impulsive purchases when it’s just them

If Lenore is with Ada and Morella during a shopping trip, she’s the one who tries to keep them from constantly following their shopping impulses and is like “Morella honey please you bought like 3 other Cinnamoroll plushies this week already and Ada istg you do not need 5 more floral dresses”

Lenore learned various breathing exercises to help Annabel, Pluto, and Morella during panic attacks and shutdowns

Morella has a bunch of Sanrio, Chiikawa, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Kirby plushies

Lenore, Duke, and Berenice have to frequently remind the others to drink water and eat proper meals because they WILL forget and have “mystery” headaches (guilty)

Morella and Ada love reading romance novels and manga and gush about them while giving each other recommendations

Morella enjoys taking care of plants and bakes for her friends often

Pluto loves Shadow the Hedgehog

Lenore and Duke pitched in to buy Pluto noise canceling headphones to deal with overstimulation

Eulalie owns reptiles and keeps talking to Berenice about how she wants more but Berenice is like “I love you dearly but you do not need more animals”

Honestly I headcanon the whole cast as some form of neurodivergent

I also headcanon Pluto as trans (*cough* projecting *cough*) and I can make another likely incomprehensible post about that

Will secretly enjoys wearing more fem clothes every now and then
