just an old thought, still timely.

So five years ago today I decided on a whim to buy a ticket to see tick...tick...BOOM! at Encores because I heard @jenashtep was putting together this little concert in the lobby before the performance. They called it “Rare Works of Jonathan Larson” and I KNEW I couldn’t miss it. Flash forward a few years to a meeting in her office and I mentioned to Jen that I was at this mini-concert and she said “oh, I’ve been meaning to turn that into a full concert” and typed a note into her computer. Last fall, I finally got to see that full concert in person. Today, I’m grateful to be listening to the album of The Jonathan Larson Project that came out of this amazing little event and the mind of someone I admire so much. Thank you, Jen, for this gift that truly keeps on giving. It’s a night I will absolutely never forget.
