do you know that i’ve spent a good 60% of the day chasing our smol fluffy cat around... bc, for like the fourth day in a row, the little bugger ran right out and through the cobbler’s pegs and came back in looking like a fucking echidna?

like, there were balls of them wound so tightly in her fur it was ridiculous...

way back when she was a baby and found dealing with all her fluff difficult, she’d get big knots and mats under her arms or anywhere hard to groom (so we’d either have to brush it out, cut it off if safe, or get her professionally shaved bc it was too hard to cope)...imagine exactly that, but like, with little spiky seeds in there that won’t let go

i am covered in ‘why am i being held and groomed so stringently?!’ scratches of protest, but i got like 99% of them (also a bit of fur, but to be fair, that clump had to be snipped off with our tiny ass sewing scissors via pet groomer comb, bc nothing was untangling whatsoever from it)...

so now certain little meows are inside cats bc we’re not going to do that again
