Always Something Isn’t It? | Mystery & Neva

It was always one function or another that forced her to meet other royals. Mystery didn’t hate that aspect of it as she was rather fond of being miserable with company. It was the force of it all, the loss of autonomy that had her disinterested quicker than usual.
Currently she was visiting some family she’d only heard of in passing. Her father had reached out to make connections, further his reach and dragged her along with her. The moment dinner finished she ducked away quick to drop this proper pretense of formality. Despite being in unfamiliar territory she was certain that every castle had a large terrace and perhaps if she’s lucky it’ll have a garden. The cool air greeted her and she could finally breathe again. Moving towards the railing she let her hair down and pushed her crown back on her head.
Footsteps from behind her caught her attention though she didn’t turn to look at whoever it was. “I will return in a minute. Can’t a girl go for a walk without hearing about duty?” Perhaps she was a bit harsh but she assumed it was her father or some help attempting to bring her back.
