Is it wrong that I don't want to be neurotypical? It feels like such a burden to be enthusiastic about doing things, although I guess that's the mental illness talking. I just can't wrap my head around what it must be like to be NT
hey anon,Â
neurotypical people still suffer and have pains just like mentally ill people do. the only true difference between us and them is that it’s not chronic or long lasting and doesn’t come to warp their way of thinking or how they otherwise relate. it might temporarily but it doesn’t fully. i guess.Â
i have a hard time considering that anyone doesn’t have something wrong with them myself personally because so much seems to be wrong in the world.Â
but anon, you CAN totally be enthusiastic about doing things and living and fall back in love with life even though you’re mentally ill. your mental illness is only one part of who you are. it doesn’t totally dominate your personality and it’s not all of what makes you, you.Â
so no, it’s not wrong that you don’t want to be neurotypical. but that doesn’t mean you can’t still take pleasure in life regardless.Â
stay safe,Â
