For a time Insight observed the flowers bursting in the sky from the illuminated boardwalk. She could see the same colors in the fireworks as every other viewer, but the bursts of sound brought additional hues to her perception. Long used to seeing sound, it merely felt like a show specifically tailored to her. And so, she gave it her undivided attention.
By the time she learned the pattern of explosions and silence, her eyes drifted away from the sky and down to the people gathered to watch. Human, human, human: it was interesting to be among them nearly at their level, but none were worth her time individually. It took her walking a short distance and witnessing those hanging back from the crowd before she found someone worth a second look.
And a second look she gave. Gently illuminated by the glow of the boardwalk's lights, a woman that stood out like a lily among weeds gazed up at the show above. Insight felt a draw to her immediately, striding over with a curiosity that she couldn't easily satisfy by peering into her soul. Three explosions burst above while she did, and that gave her a predictable window of relative quiet to speak.
"My my, I wondered why I had been pulled into this reality so soon after arriving in Arcaea," she began, a gloved hand over the tie on her chest. "But gazing upon you, I understand."
With one eye closed playfully, she curtsied, then held out her hand, palm-up.
"It simply must have been to meet you."
In a dazzling array of colors, a new round of fireworks surged into the night sky.
