Oh...Oh goodness! There’s more people out in the castle than yesterday. The young Hero clung to Eden’s side, practically hugging her leg as they walked. It was both awe-inspiriting and scary. How could she be around so many at once!? Very quietly, Kamui tried to speak; yet only a whisper flowed. Face buried within Eden’s jacket, she muttered the words again, a little louder and full of stammers.

 “ a pain in the neck, ”  alm starts, a chuckle on his lips.  “ i don't get you sometimes. but you already knew that about me. now, let me say all the other things. ”

his countenance shifts, eyes alight and trained solely on her.  “ you're strong and tender, all at once. i can't be compassionate like you. it's just not my way. ”  after all, how does one show kindness unto their foes?  “ that could be the thing to kill me. but... you still do it somehow. maybe i'll be like you one day...

🍪 – our muses bake cookies together

Chrom did promise Kjelle that he will spend more time with her, doing any sort of activity she finds interesting. And being her mother’s daughter, she inherited Sully’s kitchen skills. The king was not a better cooker but at least if he paid attention to what he is cooking something decent might come out. Either way, Kjelle, and Chrom tried to cook together a couple of times as part of their father-daughter time. 

Today, Chrom found himself dragged by Kjelle to the mass tent for another cooking try out. She said she wanted to try her hand on something different than a soup and cooking meat. Kjelle went first to Libra who kindly offered the recipe he uses for his cookies. As prepared as she is, Kjelle had all ingredients ready for baking.

“Uh, you know my expertise does not extend to baking but hey, I could learn that, too. It can’t be that hard, can it? All we have to do is follow the recipe to z right? What could possibly go wrong, eh? Burn a couple of them? I bet we are going to make something tasty if we worked together!” that was more of wishful hoping than anything. 

Five minutes and Chrom was sweating a lot because whatever they are making did not remotely look like anything Lissa or Libra bake. There were…bubbles…A LOT of these bubbles and he does not know how but they melted a ladle in the process. “U-um, Kjelle, do you think this…is okay? Maybe we can save it if we added sugar, yeah?”
