Xexyz - Wooden Sword / Surprise Attack
Two new tracks from the new Xexyz album, Death Mountain. For those who don’t know, Xexyz plays NESBM (more than likely a playful jab at NSBM), which stands for Nintendo Entertainment System Black Metal. Basically, it’s a blend of classic Nintendo chiptunes with black metal.
The sound is just insane. Somehow both cheerful and sinister simultaneously. The wackiness will be of no surprise to people who realize the project is lead by Reverend JR Preston of Tjolgtjar.
If you’ve ever wanted to hear a black metal concept about about the Legend of Zelda, Xexyz is the band you’re looking for.
