Sylvester Stallone's dog, Butkus, starred in Rocky and Rocky 2. Before Sylvester became famous, he had to sell his dog in front on a 7-11. He didn't have any money and couldn't take care of his dog properly so he sold him for $40. When he sold the script for Rocky, he bought his dog back for $15,000. Thankfully, they were only apart for 6 months. To me, that would've seemed like an eternity. I'm sure that he felt the same way. . I respect and love Sylvester for his loyalty and love for his dog. Those people took advantage of his love for Butkus. That's a lot of money to ask someone to give you to get their dog back. I love that Sylvester gave them that money. He must really have loved that dog. I, also, admire him for his loyalty to family. Not only did his dog get a part in his movie, but he also gave his brother, Frank, a role as a street singer. Both Butkus and Frank are in Rocky and Rocky 2. I love the Rocky franchise. It has given me strength and perspective throughout my life. Thank you, Sylvester. I love you for that.
