 Unable to react to the soldier grabbing her shirt, she suddenly screamed in shock as she whirled around with an attempt to dig the ice out of her shirt.

“YOU BLOODY SOD! WHY WOULD YOU EVER DO SUCH A THING?!”

 Octra snarled and ripped off her goggles, tossing them aside as she cast an exasperated glare Nero’s way.

“What do I think of you? Do you really want to know?”

 She scoffed and quickly shook her head, tossing her arms up in defeat before allowing them to fall to her sides.

“I don’t know what to tell you. You’re a stubborn basstard! You’re cocky, you push your limits, I swear to Cod I have to repeat myself for you to listen and even then you question me! You put me under so much stress that you make me want to gnaw off my own arms!” Octra paced as she ranted and raved, every so often turning her gaze to him. But it all ended with a sigh, quietly plopping down on her stool as her voice turned soft.

Octra smiled immediately upon hearing Nero’s statement. Even? Who said anything about that? Swiftly the Octoling grabbed Nero uncomfortably close to her, using her hand to crane his face up to face her; goggles shimmering eerily under the Kettle’s low light.

“Even? Who said anything about even? I see us as equals.”

Octra had been up for days, filling in the orders that seemed to just pile up. Nero had simply walked by which caught the attention of the sleepless Elite. Everything was a blur as she suddenly sprung from her seat, grasping her gloved hands around the unfortunate soldier’s neck. To her, she didn’t see her trusted friend. She saw a dangerous enemy creeping through her Kettle; an Inkling Agent.

“You! How the shell did you get down here?! Don’t you bloody sods know when to quit?!”

 She slammed Nero against the wall, her beak fully bared and armed with dangerous venom.

All the Elite could remember was having a few drinks, a few fights then nothing. She wasn’t at the bar, she wasn’t at home, but she was somewhere. Better get help.
