Nicola Alessandrini and Nemo's "Infesta."

Currently on view at Nero Gallery in Rome, Italy is artists Nicola Alessandrini and Nemo's exhibition, "Infesta."

Nicola Alessandrini and Nemo's are two young Italian artists from the world of Street Art. They met in 2019, on the occasion of the Marzabotto Pennelli Ribelli Festival. In 2021 they created a mural called “Nest” together in San Martino In Pensilis. The idea of ​​organizing an exhibition that compares and makes visible the connection present in the imagination of these two artists was born from the creation of this mural.

Despite their uniqueness, there are many meeting points of their artistic languages, both in the choice of themes and in the use of colors. Nicola's art is characterized by its monochrome, due to the use of graphite and pencils for all of his works. The colors of Nemo's are few and often the same: A flesh-colored pink is always present in his work, as are the black lines that defines the contours, folds and wrinkles of the bodies of its characters.

These deformed, aching masses and the intrinsic discomfort of their figures symbolize the complexity and hardness of the world in which they evolve. This dreamlike and metaphorical universe in their art, allows the two artists to create a unique and symbiotic dialogue, in which the viewer is transported and immersed and which lead him to reflect on the position of man in this new world that is now ours.

Tenia’s “Remember Death” at Nero Gallery.

Opening on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 at Nero Gallery in Rome, Italy is artist Tenia’s fantastic solo exhibition of new works entitled “Remember Death.”

The exhibition is born from Tenia’s imagination with the desire to focus on the mortal condition of the human being, on the fragility and brevity of life that binds to the certainty of death, investigating the concept of knowing that one’s life must end.

The exhibition will be on view until April 21st, 2018.

“Arcanum” at Nero Gallery.

Opening on Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at Nero Gallery in Rome, Italy is the group exhibition “Arcanum” which revolves around the idea the pieces in the show are treasures discovered by a explorer named Re Gallo.

The story goes something like this: “The son of an explorer, Re Gallo travelled extensively during his childhood, knowing fabulous and enchanted worlds that he always believed figment of his imagination.  Grown into an adult, he travelled on and on in search of his lost memories, which told him of enchanted beings and chimeras.  His journey was very long and took him to wander through faraway oceans and unknown lands.  Re Gallo has collected everything in the hold of his ship Arcanum: treasures and gifts which he bought and traded in his long wanderings.  These things were a proof of what he saw and people he met: chimeras, savage tribes, mythological creatures, enchanted women.”

The curated selection of artists (Adriano Fida, Anelo 1997 (Laboratorio Anelo 1997), Beppe Stasi, Donnadieux (Jeremy Nouhaud Donnadieux), Eolo Perfido, Eric Lacombe, Fabiano Gagliano, Fabio Timpanaro, Francesco Viscuso, Frederic Voisin, Isabelle Vialle, Karl Billaud, Matsuoka Heyshiro, Paul Toupet, Riccardo Mannelli, Saturno Butto and Sicioldr) have created stunning and at times hauntingly gorgeous works of art based on this, which I think is a fantastic idea.

“Sacred Animals” Group Show at Nero Gallery.

Opening on May 28th, 2016 at Nero Gallery in Rome, Italy is the group exhibition “Sacred Animals.”

Featuring work by artists such as JAW Cooper, Corine Perier, Selena Leardini and Beatriz Mutelet as well as (not pictured) Twee Muizen “Sacred Animals” focuses on deep links between the great religions and animals.
