Neverwinter was my home, but it hasn’t been for some time. I’ve forgotten the smell of the bakery, where I used to sneak pastries from the counter, and the sound of my father’s laughter. I remember the day the Cult of the Dragon changed everything. Now my sister and I were orphans. Thankfully, my sister ended up in a good home, adopted by some good folk. What little I loved, moved on. And Me? Too old for anyone to take me in, I left Nayeli behind and promised to come back once I handled my business. My business, of course, is handling the fact my sister took something from the cult. So I made it my business to make sure she never got found out. Unfortunately, I wasn’t good at my job, and it landed me at the feet of a very powerful, very …manipulative patron, Glasya. The deal was that she helped me hunt down the people specifically involved in my family’s death, and I would do whatever she wanted. She promised me my loved ones would never step foot in hells, and she wouldn’t spy on me as long as I always came to her when she called. Easy enough, the pact got me out of a bind, but …put me in a worse one. She’s had me do some pretty terrible stuff. In return, I’ve been able to keep Nayeli’s secret safe…until now. Now the past has come back to bite me in the ass and, fuck, I can’t say I’m not happy to see her a little Nero Fairlight
