Regarding what Brienne says...I sure as hope you're right. Either it's to throw us off or it's some pretty obvious foreshadowing. It could really go two ways:
1) Nik's "bittersweet" comment instills fear in me because it could be like a Romeo and Juliet type situation but with only one half of the star-crossed lovers biting the bullet. What's more bittersweet than laying down your life for the one you love (aka Jaime dying to protect Brienne)?
2) In that interview Gwen says she'd like a spinoff in 20 years time so they can all have jobs again. Then Nik turns to her in a whisper saying: That was a spoiler. This would be the happy side of the coin because if Jaime died, you think Nik wouldn't respond quite that way to it. At least I'm trying to see this as optimistic...
Ugh! I'm a shipping mess because of these two. It's agony to wait for the next 2 episodes but also, I'd rather speculate from week to week than read leaks.
I hate to admit who my favorite character is because they end up dying all the time. It used to be Jon (pre Dany) but now I think it has to be a certain person with an incredible character arc whose actor is the captain of the Braime ship. I'm not naming names, but yeah...
