1. Read through once with taps. 2. Students join in with taps and read through twice more. 3. Read through with addition of snaps on rhyming words. 4. Read through with addition of claps at start of each stanza. 5. Students read through without teacher, incorporating taps, snaps and claps. After learning the money song, the anchor chart will be displayed in the room and students will continue to work on money. Students will work in partners to pull sticks with various amounts of coins glued to the end from a cup. Students will count the money and then draw the coins and write the total amount in their math journal.
