the bubbles were warm. the candles had been set, oils burning. maggie had her music playing and her favorite game going on her phone as she laid in the tub. vincent had said it was going to be a late night, prepping for a big event he was hosting at the book club. it was a big deal and she knew he’d been stressed for weeks, trying to get things sorted and ready. she was thankful now more than ever that he had someone around to help him.
but it didn’t come to a shock that he gave her a call. she figured to hear for him for a goodnight chat, considering he wouldn’t be home until after she’d turned in.
“hey, how’s my workin’ man?” she grins, sinking deeper into the tub.
there’s a throat clearing and a bit of murmuring. “hey baby, can you come to the door?” the voice is a bit low. not as chipper as she’s used to.
“i’m in the bath right now. is this like a thing i can get to after i’m done or like, right now?”
“no it’s right now.” there’s a bit of a groan and she’s slowly pushing herself out of the tub, holding the phone to her ear.
“everything alright?”
“just come outside, please.” he hangs up before she can say anything. the worry starts to set and she’s grabbing her robe and finding her slippers in the bedroom before dashing for the door. she’s dripping wet and considering she’s naked, it’s less than desirable.
she sees his car in front of the house, lights on, but he’s not in the driver’s seat. his trainee and newly found best buddy, emmett, is. that starts to freak her out.
running around the car, she stoops down and sees vincent leaning back in the chair, eyes closed. she taps on the window, seeing emmett give an uneasy smile and rolls the window down. “good evening, maggie.”
“what the fuck?” she replies, looking between the two of them. he reaches to turn on the inside car light and she takes in the blood stains. “oh my god.” she opens the door, which gets a bit of a groan. “jesus christ. oh my god. what the fuck?” she’s crouching, her hand touching vincent’s face. “what happened.”
“bit of an accident building.” he shrugs. “i’m fine.”
“what did you do, saw your arm?”
“it was a stupid accident. totally my fault, ma’am.” emmett shakes his head. “i’m so sorry.”
“no no, this had nothing to do with you, we went over this.” vincent raises a hand to quiet him.
“why didn’t you go to the hospital?” she exclaims.
“i just wanted to come home and lay in bed with my girl.”
“that’s very cute and i’m very charmed as always, but what the fuck, vincent?” she presses a hand to his arm, which seems to be wrapped in a tee shirt. “what, are you two fucking cowboys now?”
“i’m sorry, maggie.” emmett hangs his head. “he refused to let me take him.”
she looks at his face, and though he can’t look at her, she can see the guilt that’s there. she doesn’t want to snap on him. anything she can say, he’s probably already thinking it. “it’s okay, hun. you did the best you could do.” she reaches over vincent to pat his leg. “i’ll handle this now okay? buffalo bill is my problem now.”
“god i love you.” vincent groans, looking at her. “are you just wearing a robe?”
“oh no.” emmett looks every further down.
“you didn’t give me a choice, did you.” she rolls her eyes.
he snorts, and she shakes her head. “you need me to call an uber for you, bud?”
“no, it’s fine. the train’s not too far.” emmett shakes his head.
“are you sure? it’s late.” she frowns.
“yeah i’m sure.” he nods.
after emmett helping to get vincent out of the car, and handing the keys off to maggie, he went his own way to get back home. meanwhile, she had the pleasure to helping him get up the stairs and back into the house. the dogs, who were waiting patiently by the door, were difficult to deter, and required a bit of stern words from maggie not to jump on vincent.
“it was really hard not to tell you how hot you were out there.” he chuckles, leaning against the wall as maggie helps to take off his shoes.
“i’m sure that took great restraint on your end.” she huffs.
“i really want to fuck you right now.”
she raises her eyebrows, laughing. “good luck trying, buddy.” standing up, she looks over the damage. it’s not too bad from what she can see. he’s got the gash on his arm, and one over his eyebrow. she imagines the pain will be worse tomorrow. “what happened?” she reaches, her fingers brushing back his hair.
“we were just trying to move some big pieces of wood and it didn’t work out.” he shrugs. “ended up toppling over me. most of the wounds are from hitting stuff on the way down. thankfully it was just the sander that grazed me and not the saw. there’s a scratch on my side too but just from the pavement.”
“ouch.” she frowns. “i’ve still got my bath going. i’ll get you cleaned up.”
he nods, and she’s back to helping him towards the bathroom. once finally inside, she shuts the door so the dogs don’t come in. bending over to the tub, she starts to put more hot water in. letting it run a bit, she comes back to him. she unties the make-shift bandage and throws it in the waste basket. “up.” his arms slowly raise, and she peels his shirt from his body. dropping it to the floor, her fingers start to work his belt. “how do you feel now that i’m taking your clothes off?” she smirks.
“a lot better.” the arm without the gash, raises stiffly to her waist. “am i going to get what i want?”
“probably not, which makes me enjoy this more.” grinning, she crouches, pulling his jeans and boxers with her so he can carefully step out of them. she makes sure to look up at him through her lashes, even so bold as to push her breasts together a bit.
“you’re killing me, mags.” he licks his lip.
“just wait until i start fixing you up.” she stands, grabbing his arms and helping him ease into the tub. she leans to turn off the water, then going to find the first aid supplies.
“i’m very sorry i stole your relaxation spot.”
“i was almost done, anyways.” she shrugs.
“that’s a lie. look at all these bubbles.” his hand wafts through them.
she just shrugs, coming back with the kit and sets it on the counter to use after they’re done in the tub. she sits beside him on the floor, grabbing a cloth and dipping it in the water. “lean forward.” he does as he’s directed and she glances at the light skid marks on his side. she dabs carefully, trying to get out any gravel or dirt that might have been trapped there.
she leans pressing her cheek to the tub as she does so, her breathing becoming even as she slowly moves over the wounds.
“can i share something?” vincent says, pulling her from her moment. she just hums, and he continues. “i’ve dated quite a few girls who have patched me up. some of them thought it was hot to take care of me. others were just overwhelmed. but i don’t know what to call this.” he chuckles nervously. “i can’t tell if you’re annoyed or tired or just… content.”
she presses her lips together, dipping the rag back into the water. “i was the girlfriend who patched up her boyfriends.” she nods, grabbing his arm gently, moving over his wound, and listening to his gasps and groans carefully, trying to avoid the more sensitive parts. “and before that, i patched up my brothers. after a while it just became natural, or kind of peaceful for me.” there’s a slight frown to her lips. “but it’s kind of scary when something so violent brings you that comfort, you know? i’m not sad that i don’t feel that way very often.”
“oh.” is all he says at first. then there’s a few moments of silence. maggie raises her other arm onto the edge of the tub, pressing her cheek into her fist as she continues to wash his arm. “that means you have to be scared about a person you love, before you can feel the peace of bringing them back to health.”
“yeah, you could say that.” she nods, looking to meet his eyes. while she planned for it to be just a second, his eyes were looking at her and they were magnetic and she didn’t want to look away.
“i never want to scare you, maggie. no matter what. i’m sorry that i scared you today.” he’s unscathed hand reaches, brushing back some of her hair, his wet fingers touching her jaw.
she was the first to break away from the intensity of his gaze. squeezing the moisture from the rag, she chuckles. “flirting with me in front of your mentee kind of made it less scary.” her cheeks naturally flush.
a smile breaks across his face, and his hand pulls back from her. “so i worked?”
maggie shakes her head, setting the rag down. “did someone give you something? did you hit your head? what is it about being injured makes you want to get your rocks off, hm?”
“i just have a hot girlfriend and i wanted to be with her.” he shrugs, leaning closer to her. both her arms now lean against eh edge, their noses close. “you also came out in a bathrobe and i was staring at your legs the whole time you ran.”
she scoff, gently shoving his chest. “i was worried sick! how could you have found that arousing?”
“i’m a man. you’re a beautiful woman. i’ve also been thinking about fucking you since you made coffee in my shirt this morning.”
“oh my god, vincent.” she rolls her eyes.
“if i had time, i would have tried to take care of it then, but i didn’t, so i screwed myself over.” he shrugs defensively. “it’s probably why this happened in the first place. my mind was a bit distracted.”
she bursts into a laugh, bringing a hand up to rub over her face. “you’re hopeless.” she sighs, bringing her hand down to touch his neck. “so what were you thinking about, then. hm?” she grins.
“so now you’re going to play into it?”
“i might as well.” she shrugs. “i only end up enabling you anyways.”
“well, since you’re asking then.” he leans back, letting his head rest against the back of the tub. her hand pulls back from his skin to rest against the tub, his eyes closing. “i was thinking about how we had to do laundry and then i ended up thinking about fucking you on top of the washer. first with you sitting on top and holding onto the edges so tight and screaming for more. then i thought about if it’s be better to bend you over it and fuck you that way. the first way i can feel your tits and you’d bite under my ear the way you always do that drives me crazy.”
maggie nods, watching him as he recalls his daydream. her hand reaches under the water, touching his thigh, feeling the slight startle as his leg jumps. he eases, and her hand moves up to find he’s already half hard.
“fuck, mags.” he sighs.
“tell me more.” her voice is even, and normal, moving her hand over him under the water.
“god, i—…” he cuts himself off to let out a moan. “the second option was good too because i could rub your clit and that always drives you mad and you cum harder, which makes you scream louder and that always sets me off.” his breath starts to pick up pace, the spaces between each word getting longer and longer. “but i just kept thinking about you cumming around me and that’s about when it happened— jesu—fuck, mags, that feels so good.”
“i know it does, baby.” she smiles, moving quicker. “your thoughts sounded real nice.”
he nods, pressing his lips together.
“maybe we could try both out and you tell me which is better.”
“good plan.” he grits out.
his hips start to move against her hand, and she smiles, watching his face. “cum for me, vinnie.” she whispers.
it doesn’t take much else. within moments his hips have an unnatural rhythm and he’s crying out her name as he finally reaches his peak. it was beautiful to watch him orgasm. when she’s not consumed with her own, she gets captivated watching him like this. the look of pure bliss on him, is one of the best. especially considering it’s coming from her.
“fuck.” he sighs, and she pulls her hand from the water. “i wasn’t expecting that.”
she shrugs, giving him a smirk when he looks at her.
“i love you so much.”
she snorts. “nothing quite like post-orgasms confessions of love, dear.” she pushes herself to her feet. “come on, let’s get you dry and all patched up, and we can go to bed.”
“can i not return the favor?” she can hear the pout in his tone as she gets the towel out.
“if i didn’t think it would break you even more, i would love that. maybe when you’re better.” she looks down at him. “now up.”
he frowns, his hand lifting to run along the back of her leg. it manages to send shivers up her spine. “i think i’m well enough to give you something.”
she smirks, shaking her head. “how about tomorrow morning you can finger fuck me into oblivion. how’s that for compromise?”
“alright.” he nods, holding out a hand to be help up, and she complies. “i can work with that.”
i'm just ... "9) things you said when I was crying" for matthew & victoria
“do i look good?” victoria says softly, looking around the crowd as the two of them stand side by side.
“you’re fishing for compliments, princess.” he tries not to smile, but he can feel his lip twitch. his eyes try not to look over her figure. he’s successful. for right now.
“and so what if i am?” he sees her shrug from the corner of his eyes.
he presses his lips together, looking around. “maybe your fiance can tell you how beautiful you are.” he’s trying to hold back his smirk.
“oh my god, not this again.” he knows she’s rolling her eyes.
“what? i’m sure they’d love to see you fish compliments out of him.”
“can you just tell me i’m pretty?” she sighs.
“well, i’m just a bit bitter that he has to pretend to love you and i have to pretend i don’t. sorry if i want to cope with it by making a joke now and then.” his eyes dodge around the gala, watching everyone closely, that includes her betrothed. “then we laugh, you go put on a show for everyone, and then i fuck you when we get back. it’s a winning scenario but only if you play along.”
“fine.” she huffs, and he quickly looks back at her. “i know it’s hard enough having to sneak around, having him on top of it just makes it worse.”
“yes, that is absolutely correct, but i know you’re only doing what needs to be done. even if i constantly think about this and the idea of being your mistress makes me physically ill.”
“this doesn’t sound like a joke anymore.”
“the joke is a shitty way to cover up that i’m terrified and angry. i’m trying it out over the complete isolation thing. how’s it working?” he looks at her.
“it’s unsettling. being a comic does not look good on you.” she shakes her head. “maybe you should find a different way to cope.”
“i think you’re right.” he huffs, looking back forward.
“maybe like… talking to me?”
“i never want you to feel guilty for only doing what’s right. if i talk to you, i know i’ll get angry. i just never want it to feel like i’m angry at you. i’m angry at the situation.”
“that’s good to know.” she sighs. “i’m sorry you’re in this matthew.”
“well, it’s too late now. i’m already in love with you so kind of hard to back out.”
“such a shame.” she clicks her tongue, and he looks at her from the corner of her eye, their smirks matching. “now what was this plan about you fucking me later—?”
her sentence gets cut off when there’s a loud bang from the other side of the room. everything seems to shut down. everything around them slows down and matthew’s stopping thinking about their conversation. instead, he’s taking victoria by the head, wrapping her body in him with one arm and grabbing his pistol with the other hand.
he’s got a close eye on where the gunshots were coming from. people were screaming, fleeing for any possible exit. there’s a couple bodies dropped on the floor. he’s assessing the situation, trying to spot the risks. he can’t see anyone through the masses so he begins to make his quick movement for the escape route they’ve had laid out. more gun shots ripple into the ballroom and he’s moving quicker, victoria stumbling along with him.
his eyes were darting around, making sure that there weren’t others coming from other angles. thankfully, their door hadn’t been ambushed, but he knew they were going to be followed. he wasn’t stupid.
the kitchen was empty of workers when they came through. some people ran past them to find their own safety, matthew looking back to see who was coming. it was hard with the fleeing guests. it was also possible some weren’t fleeing at all. they could be running ahead to ambush later.
the first one appeared as he was ducking out of the kitchen. “cover your ears, victoria.” he says, though not fully there in that moment. he raised his arm, firing his gun at the person aiming their own gun. he fired without thought, turning around again to keep running. it’d be a long path until they’d finally be able to make it to a safe place. everyone in the family, and those extended, had their own escape routes so as to make things more difficult. their escape route was specific to only them. he knew they’d make it outside and to a car soon enough. however, in his mind, that time would last forever.
he wasn’t paying attention to the fact that victoria was trembling in his arm. wasn’t paying attention to her quiet weeps as he moved them out. his pupils had dilated and his brain was in a different space. he was a different person.
they were now in a back hallway. they could run but he couldn’t as easily protect her that way. so instead they were walking as quickly as they could. a door opened behind him, and he looked back, extending his arm once more and firing a fatal blow. it didn’t matter where he hit, or if they were dead or not. not hurting victoria was the primary concern. by any means necessary, he kept her safe.
nothing could ever be that easy, though. he knew that these raids were bound to happen. he knew the state of things. protecting her would never be a walk in the park. the biggest threat they’d had was delirious threats of people who just needed detaining. knives brought out and screaming threats. this was planned out. this was precise. these people knew what they were doing, and they were dying for something. matthew knew what this looked like. he stared it in the face for years. he’d come out the other end again, just as he had before.
matthew turned a corner, but as he was doing so, he heard a shot fired from behind him. it collided with his back, landing a grunt from his throat and sending his body forward. that ultimately caused victoria to fall with him. hsi body landing on top of her. “oh my god, matthew!”
he groaned for a moment, adjusting slightly so he wouldn’t crush her. “quiet.” he whispers.
it’s hard, considering she’s crying and trembling under his body. he can hear the footsteps behind him. once it’s close enough, he rolls over, the split second of vulnerability for her leaving her open to see as he raises his pistol, taking a shot between the offender’s eyes. her shriek was loud, and should have pierced through his body, past his bullet-proof vest. but it didn’t instead he stood, grabbing her with him. “we’re almost there.” he says, ushering out once more.
“matthew, please.” she cries.
“you have to be quiet, victoria.”
she only half follows, letting out strangled cries as he essentially carries her. her feet stumbled too much and he couldn’t let that slow them down. his eyes kept scanning from his front and his behind. they neared one of the doors, close to where there’d be a car waiting. he saw a figure standing from a small window in the door. his hand reached up over her mouth and he stopped, checking behind him to make sure no one was behind them. he let go of her for a moment, holding up a finger for her to be quiet. her cheeks were wet and she was still trembling. he moved around to the front of the door, where he was quickly spotted. the door swung open and two guns were fired at once.
his own hit sent him stumbling, but thankfully, the body fell forward. the adrenaline gave him no time to process the bullet in his arm. he reached and grabbed victoria by the arm, tugging her out the door and shielding her in his body once again.
“matthew, you got shot!”
“it happens.”
he lifts her up again so he can run down the final hallway, down the half flight of stairs, and out to one of the back streets, where a van waited. matthew held her close, moving carefully towards the van, gun extended. “matthew mckinney, head of security detail for princess victoria bourbon. i swear to god, if you’re here to shoot us i’ll be really fucking upset.”
the back door to the van opens and he’s met with his fellow colleagues. “jesus, matty, you got shot.”
matthew leads victoria into the van, climbing in himself. “why does everyone act like it’s a shocking thing to happen.” he sighs, taking his seat as the car lurches forward and races to safety.
beside him, victoria sits, a blanket being wrapped around her shoulders. there’s someone tending to her to make sure she’s got no wounds. he takes a good look at her for the first time. his blood is smeared on her chest, blood on her face which could be his. maybe not. she’s still shaking.
he doesn’t feel like he’s totally there. like someone else is watching her. then she reaches, taking hold of his hand. in a perfect world, that would pull him back to reality and he’d come back to her. but this is a dark world, full of his pain and everything dark inside of him consumes him. he just stares at it for a moment. he says what he thinks is a good thing to say. “it’s going to be okay, victoria.” and then look away, giving her hand a squeeze before letting go, helping as someone tried to take off his suit to tend to his arm.
he feared this moment. the one where she’d see him for how he was. he just hopes that the fear of it wont change the foundation of everything.
not an early morning kiss but has same Soft Energy
“you’re drunk.” maggie giggles, vincent dragging her closer in a twirl.
“i am not, i am just having a good time.” but his cheeks are pink and his breath smells a bit too much like wine.
then again, she’s just as tipsy. “you need to be stopped.” she moves to the christmas music, but still goes to grab the glass from his hand. he raises it above his head, out of her reach.
“no, it’s my wine.”
georgia sneaks up behind him, snatching it from him and tutting with her tongue. “it’s my wine now.” she chugs the rest of the glass, setting it down.
they look over when the door opens, seeing benjamin grunt as she shakes the snow from him. “there’s no way we’re going anywhere tonight.” he shakes his head, kicking off his shoes. “the car’s pretty buried, and i can’t imagine the roads are in any condition to drive.” he drapes his jacket over the back of the car. they’d been there hours, eating and drinking and playing games. georgia had been helping maggie make christmas cookies since the afternoon, which vincent supervised to make sure they didn’t burn them. benjamin didn’t get to come over until later when his classes had ended.
vincent hums, grabbing onto maggie’s hip and moving to grab his phone. with a few swipes, he’s nodding. “yeah, you’re not the only one who is recommending it. everywhere’s got a weather warning.” he clicks his phone back off and puts it on the coffee table. “well,” he gives maggie a squeeze. “no need to panic, let’s make a party of it. more wine?”
“how could i say no.” georgia shurgs. she moves over to benjamin, who’s still standing close to the door. her hands slide up his chest, rubbing tenderly. “are you okay?” she whispers.
“i’m fine.” he pushes a smile. “just never like being stuck somewhere. but if there’s any place i’d want to be stuck, it’s with these idiots.”
“i mean, if we were stuck by ourselves, we could be having our own fun.” she licks her lips.
he chuckles, hand on her neck. “that is true. this is a second to that, then.”
“alright, well let’s go figure out what these two idiots have in store of us.” she takes his hand, kissing his knuckles. when they go back into the kitchen, they find maggie, pressed against vincent, who is leaned against the counter, his hand on her lip. it’s very obvious their tongues are getting familiar with each other again.
“excuse me.” georgia hollers. “you have company.”
vincents hums, and maggie pulls away, brushing back his hair. “sorry.” she giggles. “he’s just so charming.”
“yeah yeah.” georgia grunts. “where’s the hard stuff, book boy?” she hip checks him, opening up the freezer. “you saving this whiskey for something special?”
“i guess this is that special event.” he shrugs.
georgia’s already unscrewing the top, going to their cupboard to pull out four shot glasses. “alright guys. here’s to that bitch of new york weather.” she hands everyone their shot. “we’re going to suffer here together.” she nods, doing the shot with ease.
maggie made a gagging noise when she put it down, vincent shaking his head, and benjamin stayed silent.
“how about a movie?” maggie suggested. “like a christmas story? that’s a nice one.”
“oh yeah,” vincent nods.
“is this just an excuse for you guys to try shit under the blankets.” georgia narrows her eyes.
“no,” vincent says in an over exaggerated tone. “of course not.”
“stop.” maggie playfully hits him. “no we will not be trying anything.”
“great, then we will.” georgia puts her hand on benjamin’s arm.
they did another round of shots when the movie started, and they only lasted about twenty minutes before the movie was completely disregarded for their arguments about who was the hotter 80s heartthrob. georgia was shocked and offended that benjamin was partial to winona ryder, thinking he would have been more one for molly ringwald.
maggie didn’t even know. she just always like freddie prinz jr, who wasn’t even in the right decade.
“you have a terrible taste in men.” georgia scoffed, drinking her glass.
“no she does not.” vincent chimed in. “her taste is exceptional. freddie was king of romcoms.”
“thank you, babe.” maggie kisses his cheek.
“of course, dear. always here to defend you.”
“gag.” georgia rolls her eyes, looking to benjamin. “so you liked ‘em brooding huh? edgy and weird and stuff?”
“sure, i just thought she could snap me in two and that was hot.”
“yes! that’s what it was about her.” vincent exclaims, a bit too loud for everyone’s liking. maggie just patted his thigh to keep him under control. “she was hot too, yeah.” he says quietly to maggie, as if trying to defend himself.
“i know, i know.”
eventually they just turned the movie off, going back to the christmas playlist they found earlier in the evening. georgia and benjamin watched from their spot on the floor as the other couple danced. everyone was considerably drunk. even if georgia and benjamin weren’t dancing, they were having their own conversation quietly. her back against the couch, his body outstretched on the floor. her fingers trailed over his exposed bicep, her tongue frequently lathering her lips.
“you like christmas?”
his eyes fall shut, and he hums. “it’s not the worst time of the year.”
“that’s optimistic.” she chuckles.
“no, i do like christmas. it’s lost a bit of charm since devon grew up, bt it’s still nice to just come together. now that he’s older though, i can typically go home to my family while he spends it with his mom.”
“that must be nice.” she smiles, her words warm. “i’m sure your family adores seeing you.”
“they get mad i don’t bring devon, but i know it’s a lot for him to travel like that.”
she nods. “my family just fights over who gave the better gifts and then my dad falls asleep watching football while my mom and sisters get wine drunk. my brother got smarter and just spends the holidays with his wife’s family.”
“sounds like your family is a real treat.”
“you have no idea.” she laughs.
“you know.” his hand slides up her arm, pulling her down so she’s against his chest. his fingers run through her hair, grabbing onto her tightly. “you should come with me this year.”
“what?” she bursts into laughter. “you’re drunk.”
“yeah, so?” he shrugs. “i want them to meet you. you’re special. first woman in a long time i’ve wanted to bring home to them.”
“aw,” she coos, her fingers dancing along his chest. “that’s nice. ask me again when you’re sober.”
he rolls his eyes, but can’t help but grin. “deal.” he pulls her head down, brushing their lips together softly at first, only to capture them more deeply. she takes a long breath in, pressing against his chest as she kisses him back.
“hey!” maggie calls out behind them. “if we can’t make out, neither can you.”
benjamin releases his grasp on her, holding out his hands in defense.
georgia kisses him one more time before sitting back up.
“we should sleep.” vincent mumbled. “or at least… seek our own beds.”
“just say you want to fuck her, jesus.” georgia huffs.
“the couch pulls out. give me a few minutes i’ll have it ready for you guys.” vincent ignores her, going upstairs, only to end up tripping and causing a loud thud. maggie rushes to his aid, their laughter filling the stairs, followed by a few more softer thuds.
georgia and benjamin sit in silence, only for a moment. once the lighter dies, georgia looks down at benjamin, who’s smirking at her. “what are you so pleased about.”
“nothing.” he shakes his head. but they both know. with another beat of silence, georgia pushes herself off, straddling his hips and leaning down to kiss him, harder and with far more intent this time. his hand moved to grab her ass, pressing her against him, where she can feel him get hard.
it’s the little movements, the small grinds and what pleasure she can find from his hard on through his jeans, pressing into her, that causes her to moan into his mouth. he’s always bold, and is never a man to waist time, but now less so than usual. his hand slides under her sweater to cup her breasts, pulling down her bra to feel over her hardened nipples.
“benjamin.” she whispers, breathless. “we should wait until they’re in bed.”
“we could.” he grumbles, pinching her nipples and making her grunt. “what if we just see how far we get until they come back down?”
“you are insane.” she giggles, his lips attaching to her neck. the hand on her ass slides between her thighs, pressing directly into her, making her gasp. “benjie.”
“yes, baby.” he purrs, his fingers moving in circles over her jeans.
“i can’t wait to have you inside me.” she moans, moving her hips back into his fingers.
“me too, babe.”
he kept rubbing her through her jeans, his other hand working her breast. his lips moved to meet her’s again when her moans were becoming to raise in volume. he could get her to be quieter, but hadn’t stopped. he only picked up pace, feeling her hip movements only suggesting she was getting closer and closer. her fingers tightened in his hair and and she was frantically moving her body against him. her words begging and pleading with him.
when she finally did come, her body trembled, shaking above him and her face pressing into his neck. her body froze for a few moments, his hand rubbing over her ass tenderly. he told her she was a good girl, and she hummed, kissing his jaw. it took a few more seconds before reality came back to her.
“they’re fucking up there, aren’t they?” georgia whispers.
“yeah, probably.”
georgia groans, her hand rubbing up and down his side. “we’ll just wait then. you made me come so we should let them do the same.”
“you’re an amazing friend georgia, really.”
“shut the fuck up.”
she can hear his deep chuckle in his chest and it only makes her eyes fall shut. “can’t wait to have you fuck me on their pullout.”
except, in a matter of minutes, the two of them were passed out, on top of one another.
sure enough, with maggie’s legs wrapped around vincent’s hips, her top pulled down her shoulders to expose her breasts to his mouth, she came around him, a hand clasped over her mouth so she wouldn’t be heard below them. vincent wasn’t much further behind her, hips stunting in an uneven rhythm, until he came on his own, breathing down her chest.
“i love you.” he muttered into her chest, her fingers brushing his hair back.
“i love you too, vinnie.” she chuckles. “we should get them their stuff for the bed now, though.” she pats his shoulder.
“oh, right.” he lets her down slowly, letting her fix himself. he does the same, putting his jeans back on and brushing his hair into the spot it was before. “hope they didn’t notice.”
it didn’t really matter if they had or not, because when vincent and maggie came back down, with everything in their arms, they noticed the two, sleeping, with georgia on top of him, hands in his hair, and his hand on her ass.
“romantic.” vincent says to maggie.
“not any less romantic than you are.” she shrugs, taking the coffee table and sliding it back. “hey lovebirds.” she kicks georgia’s hip. “you’re in the way of us making your bed.”
georgia groans, looking up with her eyes squinted. “you guys done fucking?”
“what?” her skin grows hot and her cheeks turn pink. “how did you know.”
benjamin laughs from under her, his eyes still closed. “you two can’t be along for longer than five minutes without fucking. we just assumed.”
“i hate how right they are.” vincent chimes in.
“don’t encourage them.” maggie rolls her eyes.
georgia and benjamin don’t get up, instead they just adjust themselves to be out of the way of them making the bed. benjamin just grabs georgia further, twisting on his side to wrap his arms around her, locking her in against him. “oh thanks, benjie, this is nice.” she chokes out.
he hums, head in her neck. “goodnight.”
“you still have to keep your word, mister.” she pokes his side.
he doesn’t reply. so she lays limp in his arms, looking up and vincent and maggie help each other to set up the bed. “i’d be disgusted by what you guys just did, but you’re so damn cute it’s next to impossible.”
“very sweet of your to say, georgie.” maggie looks over at her. “we try.”
“on one hand, your love is disgusting. on the other hand, goals, you know?” she pouts.
“you two are perfectly goals, georgia.” maggie says reassuringly.
“well yeah, but like… not always.”
“i can still hear you.” benjamin mumbles.
“shush, i’m gossiping about you.”
“oh, well thanks for being up front.”
“no talking.”
maggie raises her eyebrows, looking from vincent, to maggie. vincent does the same, and he decides it’s his turn. “maybe if you two stopped fighting so goddamn much, you’d be happier.”
georgia snorts. “easy for you to say. you’re about as agreeable as a block of cheese.”
vincent’s eyes narrow, looking to maggie. she can’t help but grin as he mouths, what does that even mean?
maggie shakes her head with a snicker. “he might be agreeable, georgie, but he’s got a point. you two are quite volatile.”
“if i may.” benjamin clears his throat. “it makes for a fantastic sex life.” his head is still buried in her neck, voice mumbled.
“see?” georgia nods.
“but aside from that,” benjamin mumbles. “georgia is the most special lady ever and even if she makes my blood boil sometimes for how overdramatic and unreasonable she can be, her passion and resilience is what I admire most about her. i wouldn’t give up the fighting if it meant giving that up in her.”
“oh,” maggie raises her eyebrows.
“really?” georgia whispers, nudging her head to try and dig his out. instead, he just pulls her tighter, and tucks his head in even more.
“yes.” he confirms.
“well then nevermind. you guys suck.” georgia looks up at the two of them. “we’re number one now.”
“okay.” vincent nods.
maggie and vincent go back to setting up the bed, when georgia nudges her head back to him. “i’m going to remember that for the next time we fight.”
“good luck. i’m very drunk now and i’ll tell you i was lying.”
“but you’re not lying, right?”
“no of course not.”
“good.” she kisses his temple, rubbing his back.
“okay guys, the bed’s ready.” vincent announces. he walks over to the light, switching it off, and turning on the lamp instead. “we’ll let you guys get settled. maybe tomorrow i’ll make some pancakes.”
“that sounds nice.” maggie steps over the coffee table to take his hand. “night, guys.”
“goodnight!” georgia calls back, as benjamin grunts.
she watches them go up the stairs, only to pat benjamin’s arm when they’re out of sight. “you better fuck me like you meant every last one of those words, benjamin.”
he chuckles, finally peeling back from her. he stands up slowly, knees cracking, and then bends back down to pull her hands to get her to stand. “take off your pants.”

she liked whent he weather was war, but the wind could breeze through and make her feel better. the sunglasses covered her face, and the straw hat that vincent bought her for her birthday would sit on top of her head. she would have to hold it steady with the wind, but she didn’t mind
she watched from her corner as vincent was mingling his way with other other guys at the grill station. she knew the food part would be his favorite part, but she hadn’t seen him as fitting with the grill dads. of course, vincent could fit just about anywhere, with anyone, and he’s listen intently to all the grill tips, when they didn’t even have a grill.
maggie, on the other hand, stayed back with her coworkers, watching as the kids ran around. there were so many of them. even with a completely open feild, and everyone working, it still felt a bit overwhelming.
“there’s like, a perfect hot dad corner.” one snorts.
“vinnie’s not a dad.” she raises an eyebrow.
“yeah, but he fits with the ages.”
maggie hums and nods, catching the drift, but they go on.
“yeah, he’s right about that age, you guys must be kind of in crush time, huh?” she nudges maggie and her face tightens. it’s all in good jest but it makes her stomach churn having to think about it. “actually, men can have children at any age, it’s very unlikely they’d have any issues with children when it comes to age.”
“yeah. but you’re not young either, maggie.” she narrows her eyes.
“why am I suddenly being prosecuted for my own body?”
“we’re just saying, mags, that we want you guys to be happy and have the disgusting picture perfect family you deserve, but we worry that maybe you won’t get that before of you waiting.
“oh lord.” she rolls her eyes. “that’s none of your business.”
“it sure isn’t, but we’re still your friends who care. and we don’t want to pressure you, but at the same time—”
“you want to pressure me.” maggie finishes, una mused.
“no, we just want—”
“maggie!” she hears the sweet and delicate voice call ahead. saved by the precious gem of zebby, she sighs.
“i am needed, ladies.” she boes, taking off her hat so it didn’t blow away as she made her way to sebby, who was standing ina midst of blowing away papers. “what’s up, buttercup?”
“i didn’t put something over our flyers and now there’s everywhere. i’m so sorry.” she mentions, trying to pick up the ones that were around. “i don’t know if i’ll have as many to hang up because of it.”
“oh,” she nods. “zebby, that’s alright.” she smiles, putting a hand on her arm. “everyone will be happy enough to hang out with the puppies that they’ll be willing to wait for information if you can’t give it.”
zebby chews on her lip, looking around. she bends down to pick up another flyer that blows past. “okay.”
“hey!” a tall man runs up beside them, arm full of flyers. “zebby, i ran around and tied to grab all that i could.” he holds out the stack to her. “there’s a lot then, honestly. i think we should be okay.”
maggie sees the blush creep on her cheeks, her head bowing. “oh. thank you elijah.” she blutches the stack her chest. “maybe we’re okay then, maggie.”
“who’s this?” she points the tall gentleman,
“oh, i’m elijah, ma’am. i work for the humane society that works with the petshop frequently. we’re the ones with the puppies.” he sticks out his hand. she notes that he’s got a nice smile. probably the kind that melts girls to their knees. and would make a girl like zebby absolutely useless.
“pleasure.” she shakes his hand. “you two work together a lot?”
“sometimes.” zebby shrugs. “elijah is always good with the dogs. he can walk like, up to six or seven at a time like it’s nothing.” she giggles, looking up at him. “there was one time he tried to do nine and then the dogs overpowers him and he fell over and—” she cuts herself off laughing, maggie raises her eyebrows, looking to the gentleman to finish.
“instead of running away then just tramped me and gave me kisses. i ended up with some nasty bruises though, having some big dogs think they would stand on top of me for better angles.”
maggie chuckles. “that’s pretty funny, yeah.” she nods. “well i’m happy this all worked out. i should let you two get back to your work, huh?”
“did you see the puppies? the kids are all pretty excited but i could make them take a break for you and vincent.”
“oh, god no. he’ll just try and convince me to take one home and i have a hard time saying no to him. so please keep him very very far.”
zebby’s face gets serious. “yes, i have the same problem. it’s very hard. i promise to keep him away. elijah will too.” she reaches out, grabbing his forearm. “we’re here to get the puppies good homes with kids, not vincent.”
“thank you, i can’t have my house be a dog pin.” maggie nods. “but speaking of, i should make sure he’s okay. you guys are doing such a good job, though. and i know the school appreciates you working with them.”
they exchange goodbyes, maggie moving back across the field, going back to the grilling station. people passed, getting their food, and vincent stood above one of the grilled, listening intently as one of the guys explained what he was doing. “you guys aren’t turning my man into a griller now, are you? i don’t think i could lose him to such an extreme hobby.”
“oh i think we need a grill, babe.” he reaches for her, tugging her fingers so he pulls her right against him, hand on her waist. “i’m already convinced.
“jesus.” she sighs. “you make perfectly good food in the kitchen.”
“but this is a grill.” he points out. “imagine making meats on a grill.”
“i’ve eaten grilled food, dear.”
“well sure, but not made by me.” he grins, looking at her.
as she’s said to zebby earlier, it was hard to say no to him. he just had to look at her like that and she was completely wrapped around his finger. she’d say yes to just about anything he wanted.
“maybe if we do some budgeting, we can fit in something small.”
“yeah! you can totally start with those tiny charcoal grills that are like thirty bucks at the store.” one of the guys chimes in, flipping a burger.
“you’re a real help, mike. really on my team.”
he holds up his hands in defense. “i am here to speak for the grill.”
“of course you are.”
“here, you guys go eat.” another steps forward, handing them both a plate, filled with fixings. “you’ve been running around all morning, maggie, go enjoy some lunch.”
“oh, thanks guys. i promise to return your new friend in a bit.”
“take your time. we’re not going anywhere.”
maggie drags him to one of the picnic tables, taking a seat beside him. when she looked at the plate, she realized finally how hungry she was. she woke up at the crack of dwn to start setting up, and had only eaten a granola bar. she wanted vincent to sleep in so there was no rush to make her breakfast. but now she had a moment to realize she had ahrdly eaten, and her stomach agreed.
she took a bite of her burger, and instantly, she melted. “okay, maybe this grill thing isn’t a bad idea.” she nods.
“right!” he exclaims, throwing an arm around her shoulder, the other hand eating his burger. “god, it’s so good.” he finishes it only a few bites, which is far faster than she’s able to down it.
“i think zebby might have a boyfriend.” she smirks.
“what?” he says, shocked. “where?”
“it’s the big guys with the tattoos.” she points in their direction, he was holding a puppy in eat arm, zebby beside him as she handed a puppy to one of the kids. they were too far to hear what they were saying but it was clear they kept laughing and looking at each other, and zebby’s body language had it written all over her that she was smitten.
“that’s pretty cute.” vincent nods.
“i know. i just hope he’s the kind of dick to hurt her.”
“she’s a big girl.”
“i know. i just want her to be happy. she’s so good.”
“yeah, i know, babe.” he rubs her back.
for a while they didn’t speak. they just ate their lunch, having hands find their way to each other now and again, having a hard time not touching each other. when their plates were finally cleared, vincent groaned.
“what?” she laughed.
“i’ve had an itch all day.” he mitters.
maggie shakes her head, her hand sliding under his shirt, she scratches him tenderly, getting the whole area of his back.
“yeah, that’s good.”
it’s hard not to laugh, but still be absolutely endeared. she presses her cheek to his shoulder, continuing to scratch his back. “i’m having a lot of fun.” vincent points out. “i always like these things.”
“yeah? well i know you do. this is why i invite you.”
“maybe me really excited for when we’re gonna have our own little ones run around.” he looks at her, his grin obvious.
“me too.” maggie nods, leaning up to capture his lips in a quick kiss. it wasn’t a lie. there was nothing she looked forward to more than the day she and vincent would have their own rascal group to wrangle together.
#8 touching noses but i cant choose who so you do that alright thank you
“this is a terrible idea.” atlas was following behind, carrying his own bag of items. “you always say how she hates surprises.”
“she can handle little surprises. so i’m easing her into the surprise.” he shrugs. of course, kermit had keys to her apartment, fishing them from his pocket, a bag in his hand as well. he unlocked the door, and was greeted by winston, tail wagging. “hey, buddy.” he said, walking the bag to the kitchen.
atlas followed suit, setting the bag on the counter and plucking out the decorations. “why are we doing this again?”
“she got a promotion. she should be celebrated.” he shrugged. it was already dark outside, the weather was getting colder and colder and the sidewalks were pretty slippery. altas threatened to slip multiple times before nearly toppling over right in front of the apartment building.
“that’s nice for her. she’s been working there a long time.” atlas smiles, starting to tape up the paper flowers to the cupboards.
kermit moved, putting the cake in the fridge and the take and back pizza on the stove. zebby had said she was going to be home later because of work, so he knew he had come by just a little bit before he knew she’d be home.
“she has. i’m very proud.” he takes the streamers from his hand and starts wrapping them up around the entryways, along the walls. atlas was helping too, taping the decorations to the walls. he kept getting glances from the side of his vision, seeing his shirt slide up to show the dimples on his back. every time he sneaked a glance, he blushed. like the small bit of exposed flesh was too much for him. it wasn’t even scandalous.
they made small talk for a while, going around and hanging up to small bits of celebration before his sister came home. kermit didn’t want to make a whole party out of it, but if there was anyone who he wanted to celebrate his sister with, it was atlas. he was always there. even when they were kids, he didn’t mind playing with zebby, too. he’s the only one who actually knew his parents. the only one who understands that kermit had an in explainable sadness that stopped him in his tracks.
kermit walked behind him, his cold hand reaching forward to the exposed skin as atlas reached up. he smirked, placing the back of his cold hand on his skin, feeling him flinch and shriek. “you sound like a weasle.” he laughed as he began tickling atlas.
“stop! kermit stop!” he cackled, turning around and trying to push away but kermit’s hands were now only moving further up his torso. his skin was warm, it flexed and adjusted under his touch. he could feel the heat of his laugh on him and he reveled in.
he kept going until he heard the lock of the door jingle. kermit stopped, as did atlas. his hands pressed to the bar of his stomach, both their heads turned to the direction of the door. “she’s early.” atlas stated.
“yeah, what the fuck?” kermit frowned. the door opened, and a voice followed behind the voice of zebby’s. as a reflex, kermit pushes atlas’ stomach, up until he’s pinned against the wall. both their heads were still turned to watch as they saw a man trail behind her. a stranger, according to kermit. but a stranger that would eventually take zebby by the hips, kissing her deeply.
atlas gasped, and kermit reached up, putting his hand over atlas’ mouth. he turned to face him, their bodies pressed together, and their noses touching. “sh,” he whispered.
kermit’s back was to the entryway where they could catch the corner of them, but he watched as atlas watched the two of them. his eyes going wide, and cheeks getting warm. kermit couldn’t bare to watch his sister with a stranger’s tongue down her throat, hands going god knows where.
he just kept his eyes on atlas. which might not have been better. he could feel their stomachs pressed and their legs slotted together. the heat from his body was only making him warm too. he tried not to think about the proximity, of their hot breaths together. of the things he could be doing with them so close. instead of being turned on by atlas being directly against him, he thought of all the gross things his sister was probably doing behind him.
they hadn’t noticed them. zebby and her stranger friend began moving back into the living room, slipping behind the wall. he could hear small moans and heavy breaths, the thuds of falling shoes and things clinking in key dishes.
“god you’re so wet.” the man said out of nowhere, and kermit couldn’t do it anymore.
“stop stop stop.” he pushed himself back form atlas, only to grab his hand and lead him out of the kitchen, letting go when they were out in the open. “please stop.”
zebby shoved herself from the man, his hand pulling quickly from between her thighs, and her hands frantically fixing her dress. “kermie.” her face got beat red.
“you said you were working.” kermit frowned.
“who’s this?” the man asked.
“my brother, and his best friend.” zebby says quietly, blushing. her hand reaches for his arm. “i’m so sorry, they weren’t supposed to be here.”
“okay.” he says, more confused than anything else.
“we came to celebrate you.” atlas said softly. “we were putting up decorations.” he pointed around them.
“oh,” she coos, looking at what they had done. “that’s so nice of your guys.”
“but you seem busy. why weren’t you at work?”
“well i didn’t want to tell you i was going to go out to have sex.” she says honestly. kermit can hear atlas snort behind him.
kermit sighs. “fine.” he then starts to walk past her, putting his shoes back on. “well there’s cake in the fridge and pizza on the stove waiting to go in. maybe you guys can enjoy when you’re done... fucking.”
“oh no...” zebby whines, turning around. “kermie don’t go. we can still celebrate.”
“really?” the man says.
“well...” zebby looks at him, tied between two predicaments.
“how about.” atlas steps forward, arms extended to rest on the twin’s shoulders, as if he’d always been the saving grace and the tether for them. “kermit and i can go out. maybe get dinner, have some drinks of our own, and we’ll come back when you two are... finished. and we’ll have the cake. zeb just save the pizza for another day.” he looks to kermit, raising his eyebrows, expecting him to go along with it.
he holds up his hand, giving in.
“okay.” zebby nods, her hand going back to the man’s arms and looking up at him. “you can join us.”
“you know, i think i’m fine.” the guy says, clearly a bit unsettled by the whole thing.
smut prompts "you're so fucking hot when you're mad" for victoria & matthew bc i need this v badly tbh asfghkslk
victoria was talking. she was saying words that weren’t really entering into his mind. mostly just passively listening as she blabbered one about something. they were hanging back in the entrance of the ball. he kept picking the bits of hair that were stuck to her dress. it’d gotten attached to the sequins after they’d pulled each other into the coat room.
he was caught in her giggles and she was caught on his tongue. her dress was certainly unmanageable but she promised that she wouldn’t mind waiting until they were back in the room to be settled. so she took care of him between the regal coats, and he never gets used to the feeling of her mouth on him.
now, with the stands of coat fray caught on her dress, she spoke about something that didn’t have much importance, and he was nodding along, making sure her dress was still in proper position. only when her name was called, did the two straight, and matthew took his step behind her, waiting as she entered the room and everyone turned to graciously greet her.
the unfortunate part one top of it was edward standing, waiting to take her hand. the two of them had gotten very good pretending that edward wasn’t on their radar and wasn’t hurting everything about them. he made matthew’s blood boil but he wasn’t sure if that was the jealousy or it edward was a particularly terrible person.
he entered the room when everyone’s attention was on the two betrothed, sharing the first dance of the ball. matthew remained in his spot, close to the wall, watching over the entirety of the party.
“you two are terrible at hiding.” a voice spoke beside him and he looked to the young woman standing beside him.
“excuse me?” he raises an eyebrow.
she was young. maybe in her mid-twenties. she had a long dress which draped over her body, but drooped in enough desirable places. matthew would have thought that in another timeline, he’d quite like sharing a drink with her. she had the kind of pointed face that expressed she knew she was right, and she was going to make sure everyone knew that she was right. a dripping kind of confidence you don’t find so common.
“you seem like the kind of man who takes pride in how good you are in sneaking around. but i saw you sneak into the coat room together.” she says, matter of fact.
his face flushes and he’s about to vomit. similar to the last time they were caught, his skin is damp and he’s not sure what’s about to happen next. so he just carefully looks at her again, keeping his mouth sealed tight for the next words which he know will come.
“i wont tell.” she shrugs. “i have my own secrets, as well.” she smirks at him, looking him up and down. “and i don’t blame her. if you were assigned to protect me all day, leaning down to whisper things in my ear and put your hands on me to direct me places, i’d probably engaged in an explicit intimate affair as well.”
his eyebrows raise, not engaging in anything she was saying, but he could feet the heat flush right back to his cheeks. “who are you?”
“i’m lady in waiting for edward’s sister.” she does a small bow. “but edward quite likes to keep me around, too.”
matthew hums, unamused by the detail share. surely, she saw something similar between the two of them. however, matthew and victoria were in love, and he thought edward wasn’t capable of such a thing.
“i’m sure he’s even more of a joy to be around in private than in person.” he groans.
“he’s not much better, no.” she shrugs. “but he’s quite good at what he does and i don’t put up with his shit. he has a hard time finding women who put up with him long term. so whenever he needs me, i’m there.”
“sounds like a lovely setup.”
“what about you?” she raises her eyebrows. “the princess is far more digestible than him, do you stay for much pillow talk?”
he swallows, shaking his head. “no.” she might know they can’t keep their hands off one another, matthew wasn’t going to share they can’t keep their minds off each other. “she’s quite insufferable.”
“ah.” she nods. “how so?” her lips quirk and her thin eyebrow raises. clearly, this young woman likes to collect her gossip.
he thinks. he considers the things he loves most about her. “she’s not a very forgiving person.” he frowns. “she doesn’t seem to have much space in her heart for others. she’s a beautiful woman with an amazing talent in bed, but i don’t respect her.”
“oh my,” she raises her eyebrows. “quite questionable for becoming queen, yeah?”
he shrugs. “i believe they’re all terrible people behind closed door.s”
“got that right.”
they looked forward, seeing as the dance ends and people make their moves to begin dancing together. edward and victoria were both looking at them. victoria with a quizzical expression, and edward looking less than pleased.
“ah, well that’s my cue to piss off.” she chuckles, “pleasure chatting with you. i’m sure we’ll see one another more often with this beautiful marriage of questionable people.”
matthew nods, trying not to roll his eyes, but the woman slinks away, moving to the next group she can inevitably leech herself onto.
not that she was terrible, no. matthew just never bothered himself with the type of people to feed off the underbelly of the elite. he just hoped that telling her victoria wasn’t going to suffer because of the words he had spread. but he figured at the cost of the truth coming to light, it was fine.
but it’s been so long, and they’ve gotten so far deep in the lies and the covering up and exhaustion, he’s not even sure what’s right and what’s wrong anymore. all he wants is her, and he hopes that the choices he makes in the moment are good enough to keep her at his side. even if it’s in hiding.
matthew returns back to surveying the room, keeping tally of everyone in the room, and every anomaly that triggers his interest. there’s not really anything out of the ordinary, but that always makes him uneasy.
so he steps outside of the ballroom, walking where there are workers passing by. he moved back into the kitchen, the hustle and bustle of everything easing him a little as the chaos in his brain seems to get drowned out.
whatever paranoia he had seemed to be eased when he looped around, checking to make sure everyone was doing the job they were supposed to be doing. he even sneaked a bit of a snack by the lovely workers who offered one to him. it took about twenty minutes, and by the time he entered the ballroom again, the king and queen to be were marching around the room, chatting with older individuals who cooed over their precious engagement. as intolerable as edward was, he was extremely good at playing the sweet and beautiful prince.
and victora was very good at pretending to be in love with him
it always was hard to watch, so instead he’d looked away, but they kept making their rounds closer and closer to him. they were so close that eventually he could hear the conversations they were having. it made him want to gag, hearing edward talk so highly of her. yet he knew that he didn’t care at all about her interest in relations between countries. he didn’t care that she was truthfully interested in the people of her country and their rehabilitation since the war.
he never cared to listen. but maybe matthew should be glad that he never had to compete with the prince.
but as he listened, he kept noticing that he was cutting her off from her words. never in a rude way if you weren’t paying attention, but her words kept getting pulled form under him. he kept making it seem like he was the doting partner, finishing the sentences of his lover. instead, he was just plucking the voice form her throat and smothering out the flame.
victora looked right at the moment that the anger was leaking from the pores of matthew’s face. it made her quirk a brow. she looked back to her crowd and said a few words before stepping away. she returned back to matthew.
“what’s wrong?” she whispered.
“nothing.” his jaw clenches, looking past her.
she doesn’t reply, and in a few moments, his eyes move back to her and her unphased expression. his lips press together. “i hate him.”
“well that’s not a new revelation, dear.”
“you have to be quiet.” he whispers. “someone else knows.”
“what?” she says, shocked. “who?”
“i wouldn’t be concerned, seems she’s a major gossip so i’m not sure anyone would believe her if she ever does decide to spill. she said she wouldn’t. not sure i trust that.” he’s keeping his eye drifting around them, not focusing on one person in particular.
“matthew.” she sighs.
his jaw is still clenched. “he kept silencing you.” he grumbles. “he is truly a disgusting man. wont even respect his future queen to speak her mind.”
“matthew.” she says again. “meet me in the gardens in fifteen.”
“what?”
“goodbye.”
she drifts out of the room, and he watches her as he dress trails behind her.
he does as instructed, and when the fifteen minutes pass, he pretends as though he hears something from his receiver, and heads in the direction of the kitchen. he knows there’s a way to the gardens from there, so he steps out into the brisk hair. it’s not quite cold enough that he’d need a jacket, but enough to feel it on the skin.
his shoes crunch against the gravel and he looks around, hoping to see her. he doesn’t for a while, he walks deep into the gardens and only spots her when he turns his head, seeing her hiding in a corner of shrubbery, a smile on her face.
“what is it?” he asks, stepping over to her. he knows it’s a relatively secluded spot. no one would see them from the ballroom. they only could if they ventured to the garden.
she grabs hold of his wrist, pulling him closer to her. she slides his hand over the slit in her dress, gliding over her thighs, and moving his hand to her panties. his eyes widen, feeling her wet skin underneath. “you’re so hot when you’re mad.” she smirks.
“that’s what this is?”
she nods. her hands grips his wrist tight, but he takes control himself, rubbing between her folds and listening to her moving breaths. she uses her other hand to grip onto his bicep, bucking into his hand. “fuck matthew.”
“i don’t like seeing you two together.”
“i know baby.”
“sometimes i think about claiming you in front of him. that way he knows who you belong to.” he says in a low voice, stepping closer. his thigh presses against her. “so he can hear the way you moan my name.”
“yeah?” she whimpers.
he hums, pressing his fingers inside of her. he revels in her gasp. his slips finding her neck and taking her skin between her skin.
“matthew you’re hard.” her breath comes out shaky. “fuck me. please.”
he doens’t need much convincing. he’s already worked himself up. pulling his hand from her panties, he starts working his belt, and she fixes her dress to allow him the space.
from the gardens, he finds himself inside of her, away from the ball, away from everything he’s hated about this. with the only person that’s ever mattered.
