While Vaio typically tries to pull strings to accomplish her goals she's not above using less professional means to get what she wants. To that end she hired a personal bodyguard in the form of a Whiphid woman named Nel'kha. The strong and stoic young lady normally remains calmly remaining quietly behind Vaio during her business endeavours but whenever she's absent it's almost always due to doing less savory work behind the scenes. While this typically involves twisting some arms to gain incriminating evidence on rivals or force compliance from unwilling assets, Nel is more than capable and willing to conduct industrial sabotage. With Adaso and his task force's frequent collaboration with Vaio, the admiral has assigned his newest recruit Kess Sanko to accompany the Whiphid and learn more of his new position by watching her example. An interesting relationship to be sure.
