A giant, floating island, of all things. Not the most original setting, all things considered, but it works. Eclipsed beneath its grandeur, Kirsch could only stare upwards and consider. “Hmm.” Floating’s an option, but the given the amount of enemies descending; flying and falling, in some cases, it would be a precarious ascent.Â
Caeneus could do it. If they were here, it would be their first thought. It’s a small memory, but a warming one -- and so distracting, too. In that nostalgic moment, the enemy struck, bearing fangs and fury.
--And was struck down in turn.
“Ah. Was I really that distracted?” He blinks down at the monster’s remains, then up at his apparent savour. “Thank you. I appreciate the save.”
“Rather, I was just thinking of the best way to get up there.” A pause, and then: “I don’t suppose you know how to fly?”
