Straight up rant
I fucking hate SUNY albany so fucking much with their incompetent financial aid office and shitty population of stuck up long-island kids. I haven't gotten any worse vibes from a school ever until then, and undergraduate school is supposed to be a pivotal moment in my life for the better (maybe even for the worst). I'm sick of the cold environment, tired of seeing the bland buildings that is Albany, tired of being surrounded by absolutely mundane and depressed characters that make up the student population that is not driven towards the ideas of academic success and hard-work while complain that their life isn't going anywhere for them (this relates to 80% of the students I hear of). Sick of an unmotivated environment that does not beg for challenge or change. I feel as if I wasted two years of my undergraduate career at a school that is not and will not help my foster myself into a man I need to become. And though it is not the school's responsibility to do so, it sure isn't helping. I want to go to a school where I'm surrounded by kids who want to change the fucked up situation we are in this world. My generation is the generation of people that either make it or break it- we either repeat history and begin wars where old men initiate them and young men fight them, or we resolve our issues at hand and stand up for our responsibilities as a generation who's lives are marked with either greatness or disappointment. Godamn if I could wake up knowing that I'm surrounded by people who feel the same fucking way then I'd be the happiest man alive because I'm sick of children who feel as if the world owes them everything and that they should be spoon fed their success.
