Close encounter of the bullish kind That time I was nearly hit by an ox-cart. After taken some photos, I walked to the side with normal speed to get a safe distance to the charging animals. Patting distance. Not the most risky moment of my travellings, and the driver and his companions did not see it as a dangerous endeavour either. Great guys. The ox-cart is still a common sight in Malawi, not only in the countryside. It represents a considerable investment, but the income from freight of goods, harvest and people is often a lifeline to families in rural areas. It is even one of the most common ways to get women giving complicated labor to the hospital. Not always in time. http://www.gumbieducationfund.org.uk/gumbi-malnourished-children/ #thattime #closeencounters #walkasfastasyoucan #nearlyrunover #bigsmileyheart #warmheartofafrica #2013CE #norealdanger #oxcart #basicinfrastructure (at Lilongwe, Malawi) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZUjh_IpKBf/?utm_medium=tumblr
