PXL ZINE // ISSUE 1: TONE

This is the first issue of my new minimalist/experimental zine project, PXL Zine, which accompanies the release of my latest album PXL. This Halloween edition centers on tone: how atmosphere, silence, and honesty shape our creativity and connection.

Original artwork is layered from photos shot at home and analog textures, including a cocktail recipe made with lemons picked off my mom’s tree and a touch of wild color theory.

PXL is an 11-track album that captures a journey of self-discovery, reflection, and rebirth. It began in the aftermath of a relationship that had reached its breaking point, a period of loss, introspection, and ultimately, renewal. Each track blends IDM, ambient, and experimental electronica to create a sonic landscape that moves between tension and release, chaos and clarity. PXL is the sound of reclaiming oneself, a distilled reflection of emotion and experience, mastered and polished for an immersive listening experience.

PXL+ expands this journey into the full story. Starting with material from pre-FLUX periods, it moves through the GEMINI era and concludes with PXL itself. This 20-track version encompasses the complete emotional arc, moving through disintegration, reflection, and reintegration, taking the listener through the evolution of thought, feeling, and creative growth. PXL+ is not just a collection of songs, it is a cohesive narrative of transformation and resolution.

I didn’t know what was coming, but the track did.

"Really" is the last thing I made before a domestic violence incident closed out a seven-year relationship and fractured the life I had built around it.

Atmosphere. tension. memory. This isn’t healing music. It’s:

* What silence sounds like right before rupture.

* The last song produced on the album,

* The last moment of the relationship,

* The beginning of the end.
