bf!riku wakes up instantly, like he’s been trained for this. the second you jerk awake, your breath hitches, he’s there.

his hands are warm - gentle - holding your face in the dark; “hey, hey” he whispers, his thumbs brushing over your cheeks, grouding you back in the room, your attention moving away from the bad dream

he pulls you into his chest, his chin resting on top of your head, rocking slightly without even realising it

“you’re safe, i promise..” he says, his voice steady, soft in a way that makes it impossible not to melt into his touch

he presses slow, soft kisses into your hair, murmuring sweet reassurances between each kiss

when you finally exhale deeply, calmed down and relaxed again, he doesn’t move away. he stays close, his hands warm and gently, his breathing matching yours.

“i’m right here” he reminds you quietly; “we can stay up if you want” there’s no rush in him, no impatience or pushing you, just warmth & care

he waits for you to drift back to sleep, his arm never loosening around you, letting go is no option. he holds you so you can get some rest

tokuno yushi

bf!yushi wakes up confused at first, blinking in the dark as he’s slowly registering the quiet shaking next to him.

“..oh, hey” he says softly, sitting up too fast, his hair messy, concern written all over his face.

he hesitates for a small second, then gently reaches out to you, pulling you closer, a little awkward but sincere; “..it’s okay..” he murmers

he’s not really sure what the right words are, so instead he focuses on what he actually can do. one of his hands is warm against your back, the other finding yours, his fingers sliding in between yours, squeezing your hand softly; “you’re awake now, it’s okay”

he doesn’t try to fix it. he doesn’t ask questions he doesn’t know how to respond to. he just stays, his forehead against yours, sweet - quiet reminders coming from his lips; “i’m here” - “you’re not alone”

when you finally calm down, he lets out a small sigh of relief, holding you a little tighter

“sorry” he whispers shyly; “i don’t really know what to do.. but i’m not going anywhere”

and somehow, that’s more than enough, exactly enough

kim jaehee

bf!jaehee wakes up to you shifting next to him, a sharp inhale from your lips tells him it’s not just tossing and turning in your sleep. he sits up right away, reaching for the remote of the tv on the night stand

“hey” he says softly, voice warm with sleep; “it’s okay” he shushes. the tv lighting up the room with a warm light, the volume low. just some random late night show that was on, but the soft voices filling the room calming you down instantly.

he pulls you into his side, one arm around your shoulders, the other rubbing small - slow lines down your arm. “focus on the voices for me ok?” he murmers; “you’re here. it’s real”

he keeps talking, not about the dream ofc but about literally anything else; the show that’s playing, the things he wants to do tomorrow etc. dumb little jokes to calm you down and make you relaxed.

every now and then he presses a small kiss to your temple, careful and reassuring; “you’re safe”

when your breathing evens out, he lowers the volume of the tv, letting it play in the background.

he rests his cheek against your head, his fingers lacing with yours. “don’t worry, i gotchu” he whispers into your hair

hiroshe ryo

bf!ryo jolts awake as soon as you do, eyes wide, hair a mess, a slight panic flashing across his face the second he sees you crying

“hey, hey” he says quickly, voice soft but a little unsure, like he’s afraid of doing the wrong thing. he pulls you into his arm without hesitation, hugging you close, tight and warm, your face tucked under his chin

“it was just a dream” he murmers, repeating it more for himself than for you, then quieter; “it’s ok, you’re ok, i got you”

his hand rubs your back in clumsy small circles, but he doesn’t stop, he keeps you close to him

after a moment, he leans back just enough to look at you, brushing your hair out of your face; “do you wanna hear what sakuya did today?” he asks softly, a small giggle leaving his lips and without waiting he just starts rambling, anything to make you laugh and ease the tears

when you finally smile, he smiles like it’s the biggest win in his life. pulling you back into his chest he says; “see! no bad dreams allowed here”

he’s trying and he’ll always try for you. but for now, his goofy jokes and warm arms are enough

fujinaga sakuya

bf!sakuya was already awake when it starts. he’s been lying there scrolling on his phone, half awake - half asleep but he immediately notices when your breathing gets uneven

he puts his phone down immediately, his sleepiness long forgotten and when you jolt awake, he’s already there, smiling that familiar smile that somehow makes everything less scary

“that looked like a really bad dream” he whispers gently, brushing your hair back; “it’s okay now”

he doesn’t ask what the dream was about, he just gently pulls you closer, a little hesitant just to see if it’s okay for you but by the way you instantly relax into him, his grip on you tightens up

his free hand rubs your arm softly; “nothings here” he says, voice light but certain; “just you and me and a very.. uh.. un-scary room” he cracks as a light joke.

when you settle, sakuya rests his chin on your head, a relieving sigh coming from his lips; “see?” he murmers; “i’m here. it’s okay”

he holds you close, soft silly jokes leaving his lips, his warmth and his efforts to calm you down are enough to keep you from falling back asleep into the same dream
