Jonathan Ward did an amazing job with this.  

So, this week I am spending most of my days in Raleigh at NCNAYO (North Carolina Native American Youth Organization) annual conference.

And the kids are truly something else. . . .in every sense of that statement.

They seem to have lost all sense of respect for elders and their culture. Its heartbreaking.

Tonight was the pow wow and they were disrespectful during the honor songs and at other times during the ceremony. And I am not really sure how to respond or what to say because I cant seem to remember how we acted at this age but I hope we were not this bad.

The only thing they are worried about is sex and relationships.

YOU ARE LIKE 13 YEARS OLD!?!?!?! STOP IT.

I can only  imagine what it would be like if there wasnt a dress code.

Tomorrow's youth. Tomorrow's leaders.

I fear for the future of my people.

For those of them that are on the right path, you will have a great weight to pull because your peers are not going to pull the slack.

Please. Please. Please. Lord. Keep your hands over them and guide their future.
