A/N: self indulgent (ofc) because Parker doesn't get enough love

When you and Parker moved in together you merged your record collections into one, which shouldn't have taken long but he insisted on categorising them all and listening to the one's he'd never heard so he could 'properly put them away'

He has the entire apartment rigged with different gadgets

Every time you watch a movie it involves mood lighting that mirrors the colours on the screen

You, like Parker, have many hobbies, so the apartment is always filled with new, and often unfinished, projects

Your apartment is never quiet, one of you is always listening to music, watching tv or playing an instrument

You both love watching old tv shows and movies, as well as a few good new ones

Obviously you get fresh pastries every morning, but on special occasions he will buy you what looks like the contents of a large bakery

You go to concerts together regularly

He is incredibly good at gift giving and often buys you things that just remind him of you

He is very protective of you, he used to be much worse at the beginning of your relationship but you worked through it together

He is a complete gentleman when you're out together, which comes from him being protective but he's always holding doors and keeping you away from anyone he thinks could hurt you

Alden softens as your relationship develops, opening up to you about his fears of betrayal and abandonment which took a lot of encouragement

It's become a bit of a competition in your relationship to see who can come up with the most nicknames for each other, neither of you can remember how it started and think its sort of ridiculous but you both refuse to let it go

A/N: having a hard time writing longer pieces at the moment so here’s some old headcanons in the meantime !

Abby’s beyond excited about the fact that you have the same taste in music. There’s nothing she loves more than sharing her interests with you, bonus points if you’re already drawn to that sort of thing.

She doesn’t so much as bat an eye if you’re into some heavier or more eccentric genres; the more deranged the better in her opinion.

There will most definitely be a collaborative playlist between the two of you, and sometimes you’ll even be able to surprise her with a new artist she didn’t know of.

It isn’t uncommon for you to be found down in the lab with Abby, heads bobbing to the music blaring from the speakers.

Most of your dates end up taking place at concerts and shows, more often than not the tickets being a surprise from one of you to the other. Both of you have many photo albums of all the shows you’ve been to.

For anyone curious if you've never heard this before (it was a very small detail, very easy to miss, it wasnt really meant to be noticed) it was said somewhere in season 1 or season 2, i remember it was a scene where Abby was showing him something she discovered, peas were in some way mentioned, and he said he hates them, and then it was never mentioned again.

That's like a kindof absurd thing to notice and care about but like i was genuinely flabbergasted becouse like 'omg no, my pookie dosen't like peas' becouse I absolutely love peas, they're like my favorite thing in the whole wide world

(anyways I've also like put it into all my Gibbs bots character descriptions that he does not like peas but c.ai literally dosent give a fuck about any details you write even if you emphasize them over and over, my descriptions are detailed af but still it keeps spitting out the dumbest most incorrect stuff)

Imagine Gibbs seeing you in a pretty summer dress for the first time, he’s momentarily mesmerised by the sight of you, and the way the gentle breeze flutters the hem of the frock and the way the sun frames you gloriously.

Then imagine him having to clear his throat before he can speak. Those beautiful blue eyes don’t leave you. He takes the picnic basket right out of your arms and carries it for you, letting his fingers tenderly entwine with yours.

You noticed him clenching his jaw. And then he unclenched.

The hands you once wished to hold - to kiss, to feel moving through your hair as you lay beside him watching daytime television, to sense the way they raked up your waist in a movement that was nothing short of pure sin in the dead of night - remained on the steering wheel, the tight grip on the worn out leather causing his knuckles to furiously spill out an assortment of pink and red hues.

Situations like this were usually resolved with intense, angry make-up sex. "Pleasure in its most sinful form," he once said.

The mere concept made you ill to your stomach.

You both made no move to depart. Or converse. Or do anything other than wilt in the godawful silence that filled every nook and cranny of Gibbs' little car.  Your strained breaths, the erratic pants coming out in short gasps, barely audible from the tight scarf wrapped around your neck, were the only sounds that traveled through the environment. 

There was never a single second of silence in all your years together. When things were good, every hour with him was filled with a variety of melodies - the bang of pots and pans as you both tried your hardest to cook a meal (without turning the kitchen into a messy food court or the center of foodplay), the sounds of his deep, brazen laughter as he teased you over and over. His heavy breathing in the early hours of the night, as his lips hovered above your small form, vowing to kiss every inch of your precious little flesh, was perhaps the most typical sound. 

Even in the gloomy months that followed, stillness was never permanent. In fact, you craved it. Anything to silence the sound of plates crashing against the wall. The days of cooking had long passed.

You were afraid you'd bleed all over his automobile if your nails dug any deeper into your palms. Giving him yet another cause to despise you. Instead, you fiddled with your scarf.

Your choice of clothing was a technique of coping with the bitter cold that has gripped in town all week. Heavy storms combined with loud, irritating lightning strikes made you startle in fright as you lay lethargic and limp at night. The feel of his soft skin around your weak body was replaced with a steaming cup of coffee set on your shared bedside table and one too many blankets of his bourbon’s scented. You'd ultimately drift off.

Nothing, however, could wash away the fierce lashes of rain that gathered around both corners of your puffy eyes as you wailed into the darkness, a tsunami roaring within you as you wondered how, why and when it all went so damn wrong.

Pathetic fallacy, your ass.

Too long. You'd been in the car for much too long. You should have left the moment he pulled into the driveway. But nothing was ever easy with Gibbs by your side.

You eventually proceeded to unfasten your seatbelt after what seemed like hours. The abrupt click of the buckle led him to look your way for a split second, fingers pressing deeper into the leather wheel before returning his sight to the window.

You noticed the single tear that flowed painfully across his face before he moved.

"This is me. The remaining items will be picked up by the delivery van the following day. Don't bother paying him; I already have."

And with that, you left.

Almost. You almost left.

Even you were surprised by the rough hands that drew you back into the car the moment you opened the door.

“I’m sorry.” His face so red. “- God, I’m so sorry.”

“It’s okay Jethro. You said it yourself, remember?”

“W-What are you talk-”

Shaking your head. “Don’t you remember?” Letting his hand go.

“Remember of what?”

“You said it.” You laughed dryly. “I’m better off without you, right?”

Tony would freak out at the news. Immediately into a full blown panic. “I thought we were careful!”

He’s liable to make a scene, so telling him somewhere where you weren’t likely to be overheard or draw attention was your best plan.

After a day or so, Tony would start to think more practically about it. He’d still be a bit weird about it, but he’d make an effort.

Before either of you knew it, he’d be in full dad to be mode, making sure you were taking care of yourself and the baby.

He’d watch his favorite family friendly movies with you, insisting that his kid was going to have to come out of the womb with good taste.

Gibbs is the only consistent parent you have in your life

Sure you have Ducky but he isn’t always around and you don’t live with him

And your mother died before you could even remember her 

All of the step moms left eventually sometimes even violently 

Gibbs isn’t perfect but he’s your dad

But once you’re old enough to start really hanging around the team it gets real fun

Abby is the coolest person you’ve ever met

She’s the sun and moon in your mind

She colors with you and makes fun of your dad! 

What more could a kid want in a person?

Kate is a close second to Abby only because you’ve known Abby longer

Kate is the one who grounds you and Abby when your at NCIS

She’s still really fun and colors with you and might even play catch with you if you play your cards right

She won’t do any of that if your dad is around though which sucks and knocks her down to third if your feeling spiteful

Tony has nothing on Abby but him and Kate are usually tied for second in your mind

When Tony joins the team your around 8 ish 

You didn’t warm up to him as fast as you did Abby

That was until he’s heater broke and he needed a place to stay after that the rest was history and he become the honorary brother to Abby's honorary sister

Whenever he has to stay with you and your dad you guys go ham

It’s board games, pizza, every kind of soda you can get your grubby hands on and if there isn’t a case you know you both are going to the movies!

Gibbs acts like he’s annoyed but he’s very glad you’re able to have a somewhat normal childhood

He’ll participate in a round of monopoly only if he can be the banker 

Though this isn’t a frequent event in the Gibbs household it is always a memorable experience

Gibbs is a complex man and even more complex father

He loves you more than life itself there isn’t a doubt in his mind or anyone else's that he wouldn’t die for you

Now how he expresses that is…very much how you would expect him to

He’ll hug you if you’re the one initiating, you would have to be a near sobbing mess for him to really just come up and give you a hug 

It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t want he’s just not a super touchy person

The mans just awkward and your a teenager now and he doesn’t want to embarrass you (in that way)

Speaking of embarrassing you… oh my god this old man is the literal devil

He gets such a kick out seeing you yell at him or even look slightly annoyed at him

He’s such a dad in that way (when he’s not almost crashing the car you know his ass is trying to get that dad tax)

And if you’re easily embarrassed you’ll have to grow out of that quick

Like anytime that you visit him or any of the team members at NCIS and it starts to get late lights out immediately 

 This old man is forcing you to go to bed

Not tired? 

He couldn’t give less of a shit 

Your still his kid and have school tomorrow

Is he going to drive you home? No chance, that’s a waste of gas money kid 

You’re the one who wanted to be here so suck it up, take his jacket and go to sleep

A little off topic but he is such a “it’s that damn phone” kind of dad
