Margaret, film
From Banking’s classless period. The landscape is by a Margaret Calaghan. The heater installation by a tradesman with no shame.
(first shot of a small series from my visit to the National Centre for Photography, before the renovations begin).

Random phone photo today after a tour of the new National Centre for Photography in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. The building has just been purchased by the Ballarat International Foto Bienalle. What a piece of amazing art kudos, out of the blue they purchase a four-storey federation bank building for only 1.2 million AUD, in the centre of an 1800′s goldfield town that’s booming with culture and art integrity. They only have to get another 4.5 mil (which really should be a snack in the grants regime we have in Victoria under our fabulous Labor State Government) to get this fantastic old building up to gallery scratch.
This is just a random phone photo of the after-chat on the street, I went bold and took film photos of the inside of a dark old building, some with flash, some without. Figured that if they come out weird with dark shadows on old walls, what’s not to like? Develop tomorrow after blowing off the last 10 frames somewhere.
