Day 7. So with Storm Amy on her way and gusts already causing issues it was a 76 mile trip to try and find some kind of refuge....... two camp sites turned campers away so it was fend for yourselves.
After looking for a fairly sheltered for thirty mins Beinn Eighe visitor centre was looking favourable, seamed quite sheltered and only one other camper (either they know something other's don't or other's know something they don't) oh well time is ticking...... park up, pitch up get some grub sorted before it gets wild.
Within the hour Amy strikes....... oh shit the fold out part has just lifted...... fuck, fuck, fuck we ain't even in the thick of it........ move is required....... same car park different spot.
Move sorted, fold out lashed down to truck wheels, climb in and enjoy the ride.........
OH MY FUCKIN GOD! WOW! HOLY SHIT!
67 mph winds battered us...... never heard anything like it and when the gusts hit the tent, wow, mother nature is so powerful.
Well we all made it through the night..... time to see what devastation storm Amy had bestowed upon us. Quick spot of brekie then back on the road 😬😬
