The Naxian Sphinx was a dedication of the inhabitants of Naxos to the Delphi Sanctuary as an offering to the God Apollo, dating back to around 560bc. This marble sphinx, dominated Apollo's sanctuary from its position atop a 12.10 meter high Ionic column. Se non sapete dove andare in vacanza, se cercate sole, mare con stabilimenti ogni 400 metri (a 6 euro al giorno) o totalmente assenti, spiagge dorate di sabbia fine lunghe chilometri (non aspettatevi il bianco caraibico), o di sabbia un po' più "pesante" per quando c'è vento, tramonti spettacolari e sicuramente più godibili rispetto a Santorini perché c'è meno calca, se amate cetrioli e cipolle rosse (perché li mettono ovunque), se cercate divertimenti e ristorantini tipici anche lungomare la sera, un entroterra ancora autentico... Ecco Naxos potrebbe fare per voi. E' un'isola delle cicladi sicuramente meno "battuta" a livello turistico rispetto a Mykonos, Santorini e Ios ma proprio per questo fantastica anche a luglio/agosto, sicuramente adatta alle famiglie con bambini.
